so.... what did you eat for your holiday meal?

I baked 2 cornish hens with apple/cranberry stuffing and to go along with it, wild rice with mushrooms. I also made a spinach salad with feta, eggs, shredded beets, walnuts, croutons and raspberry vinaigrette. My wife had a Pinot Grigio and I had a Cocoa Porter.

Damn... I'm like in gastronomical heaven.

Usually we are traveling during the holiday, but this year we decided that we would stay home. Our Christmas meal was all seafood and it was fantastic!

Heck, I may stay home more often.

I think I hear the bathroom calling... if anyone needs to have their paint peeled, I feel a burp coming on... respond quickly. :(

... I love my mom and I love my people's food, but damn sometimes I visit relatives and feel like I just drank a gallon of gasoline... ah but damn, it sure does taste good.

Spice-encrusted roast beef, chicken & carrot stir-fry, steak & potato soup, spicy potatoes, Mexican squash and peppers, and apple pie with ice cream.

Some of it we bought, most of it we made. I always make a bunch of stuff because of the family tradition of big buffet-style meals for big groups. We just eat the rest of it later.
