It could be a learning program,a cartoon or a sitcome. What are some of your favorite shows/program that you loved growing up watching? I would always be glued to the TV when these shows came on...

    1. Reading Rainbow- What kid doesn't like this show? Lavar Burton tells a story with some side shows afterwards...fun stuff.

    2. Thundercats- One of the few action hero cartoons that I like, while everyone else was watching Transformer and J.I JOE. Rambo was actually good to but it was a short series.

    3. 321 Contact- One of the best sceince shows for kids. I've learn a lot from this show.

    4. Mr. Roger's Neigborhood- nuff said...I love it when his mailman bring in new videos.

    5. Knight Rider- The only show where David Hassel is a stud, and it has a cool intro music. I enjoy it more then The A Team, McGuyver and 21 Jump Street.

    6. Double Dare- One of the best kid's game show along with Fun House.

    7. Spectorman- I bet no one haven't watch or even heard of this one besides me. Its exsistence today is unknown and has pretty much disappeared into oblivion. Any info or document on this larger then life action super-hero is rare. A classic...

    8. Tom&Jerry/WoodywoodPecker combo- Watch them every single morning before leaving for school.

    9. Three's Company- My whole family loves this comedy sitcom. Since we had just arrived in the U.S from Asia in the early 80s and didn't understand much English, this sitcom was easy to pick up and we would laugh on parts we didn't understand the words to. Jack Tripper was the Man.

    10. Samauri Sunday- Awesome, rare kungfu action in the most bloodiest way. One episode I saw some dude intestine hanging out b/c he was stabbed so much yet he continues to fight...I was like what the heck?!? I was 6 at the time...

For some reason I hated Sesame's Street mainly b/c of that big yellow bird. I thought he was the most uncool character back in the days. That green dude in the garbage can was pretty cool though.

Does anybody have that website that listed and detailed all the great Nick Jr. cartoons and shows they had before they started all this new stuff?

Tom&Jerry (cheesecake?- That dirty old woman)

Some drawing show. The guy taught you how to draw little things. He always made sound effects while he was drawing his big space station and stuff.

The Secret City with Commander Mark!

He always drew the same three things every episode, but it was still a great show. He had this huge mural that he kept adding to every show.

My childhood consisted of only one sitcom... Three's Company. I watched that show nonstop. My aunt and uncle had EVERY EPISODE on videotape, and I would beg my parents to let me fly to their house as a young kid just so I could watch them.

However, 20 years later I find that show to be remarkably unwatchable and just plain horrible. I can't sit 3 minutes through an episode without wanting to gauge my own eyes out.

It didn't hold up to the test of time for me. Very sad.

Since everybody will probably name the same shows, I had a couple of weird shows that I liked growing up...

Bob Ross - I swear, this guy painted the exact same thing every episode...Some trees and bushes around a lake with a few clouds in the air. It was mesmerizing, though...

Cooking Shows - I LOVED cooking shows when I was a kid. This was before food network, though, so it was really hard to find them. It was usually Julia Child reruns or The Frugal Gourmet on PBS...I can't remember the name of the guy that hosted that show, though...

What was that show on PBS that taught little kids to draw? I watched it religiously, and still to this day can draw roads on a piece of paper that look 3-D as if they are coming out of the page at you b/c of one episode of that program.

Totally forgot about the drawing show with Commander Mark. That was pretty good.

I also liked Three's Company. I used to like to watch the Fall Guy and Miami Vice as a kid.

Any National Geographic special on PBS. I watch that channel almost as much as I watch the History channel. I used to watch Discovery but there are too many reality shows and they are all like American Chooper. Paul Sr and Jr were cool for a while but the act is wearing thin.

The A-Team. (even as a little girl I thought Dirk Benedict was HOT)

various cartoons - especially ShirtTales and the Bugs Bunny/ Road Runner show on Saturday mornings

That's Incredible (and all the similar stuff like Ripley's Believe It Or Not)

The Cosby Show (I know... but everyone liked it back then)
