In addition to enjoying the game we all love to see the individual's/team's gestures as a result of a spectaluar play. Sometimes, we may even practice these gestures (well .. I do). There are many gestures that come to mind.

    1. Stromomile's bird sign after a dunk: I used to love to see that sign after specatular dunks. It adds to the excitement of the game. There was a game against the Grizzles where he took a pass from Rafer Alston and slammed it home with the left hand for the and1 and did the sign (it is in the Bleach video towards the end.)

    2. Dikembe Mutomb's Finger wag: I have been watching Dikembe play basketball for half my life and one thing I look forward to is when he blocks a shot. When he wags that finger, the offensive player knows what time it is. I know that Jeff wants him to cut it out, but I think it gets his team pumped up.

    3. Derek Anderson frequently pointing and smiling: Before getting injured there were some games where Derek seemed overexcited. This drove the BBS and the chat room in a frenzy. In one particular game where the DA was pointing and smiling after every play. I thought it was humorous.

4.Bob Sura's three finger sign: I know that Bob is out for a long time, but I would always remember what happened after he nailed huge threes. The three finger signed energized the team during the last playoffs.

    5. The Rocket Bench: Whenever the game is on and the players on the bench are sitting, it seems as if they get up on every Rocket play - block shot, rebound, three-point shot, or dunk. I would probably get tired of standing up and sitting down ever time so frequently. But, it is great that our bench is so supportive and I have noticed this for a long time. The ring leaders are Mooch, Ryan Bowen, and Dikembe.

This one was the best. I'd love to make the playoffs, go on a run and resurrect this sucker.

    Definitely the "Three" symbol.

Everyone on the team flashed it last year after anyone hit a three. Besides, it apparently annoyed the hell out of Dallas fans. ;)

It was a televised game earlier this year (probably December) where the DA scored 17 but was missing many open 3s. Everytime DA made a free throw or something he would smile and start pointing. This drove the BBS fans up the walls because DA wasn't hitting his shots (most of his 17 points were free throws) but yet was still grinning all the time. I just thought it was humorous that the BBS were upset at him for that. It was fun for DA until he got whacked in his eyes and he stopped grinning

Sura's three fingers sign was the best. If we are going to go old school, and even though it only happened once.. Elie's Kiss of Death was probably the greatest Rockets gesture of all time.

I love it when T-Mac hits a big three on the road and does that "hush hush" sign to quiet the crowd.

I voted for the Sura 3 sign, but i think it was jon barry that came up with it, cuz barry was doing it in game one and sura didnt bust it out til late in game 2 when he hit those 2 big threes

i think JB came up with the sign and then sura made it nationally famous in game 2 and after jvg said he didnt like it, sura said he'd still keep doing it

My favorite all time is Otis Thorpe's one handed rebounds. I thought it looked so cool when he would grab the ball one handed in the air, land and still have his hand up where the defender couldn't touch it. You know he could have secured it with both hands, but he didnt, just to show opponent up. That's why I put it in the gesture column.
Man I miss those outlet passes!

When I think of the gesture I think of Jon Barry doing it as well, not being solely just a Sura thing.

I voted for Mutombo I like that sign, but in 2nd close place is the bob sura three sign, and in the playoffs everybody were doing the sign when anybody score a 3.

The finger wag is notorious. It's the only one that would result in a T...... :)

    5. The Rocket Bench

I love it when they all stand up to cheer, high five or just ROTFLTAO. Then again, if Sura is playing they are usually doing the three finger sign too. So I say both the bench and the three finger sign but I voted for the Bench.

The Kiss of Death was great. I also loved the "3"... man, last season was so fun.

I'm also reminded of Barry's tuck and roll onto the court after TMac's slam over Bradley. That was hilarious.

I couldn't find an image of it but I love when he scores a tough basket and he turn around screaming and swirling his fist (he did it after he hit the game winner over the spurs last season-the miracle game).

I also love the three symbol by sura, barry and the others.

Oh man, his reaction after "the t-mac miracle" just makes me shake my head and gives me chills. One of the greatest sports moments for me personally...along with his game winner against the mavs last playoffs...and Vince in two Rose Bowls...ok, i'm done for now.
