If landscape and scenery were the ONLY criteria, ...where would you like to live? (domestic or international)... My top places: Colorado,...Oregon,...dare I say Utah?, ..hey it's pretty...
New Mexico, Arizona...I Love the desert but would be bored to tears without the traffic and crime and pollution of good 'ol Houston!
I think Utah's pretty; I wouldn't mind moving there. I've never been to Alaska, but I've seen pretty spectacular pictures of it. I'd rather go some place where you're out with nature and away from civilization. I'm the opposite of BGM : I'd never vacation in places like Florida or California.
If I could live anywhere....it would have to be either San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria BC, or London. I just visited Seattle and Victoria last summer, and they both were beautiful. Dang Texas and its lack of cool trees...doh. Does it really rain like 9 months of the year in Seattle? Oh and there is no income tax in Wash like Texas right? Added bonus!
Northern New Mexico, Colorado, Big Bend... I'd have to have a broadband dish for my internet connection though!!
In the foothills of the Canadian Rockies in southern Alberta, right where I am. Ideally, I'd rotate my condo about 120 degrees so I could see the mountains from my living room window, but I don't want to get too picky. http://www.canmorealberta.com/gallery/index.html
I would have 2 places. In the winter it would be on an island in the Carribean. In the summer I would live near the banks of the Mississippi River just north of Brainerd, MN. I visited there when I wa sin High School and the scenery was beautiful. I also am fond of Colorado.
Rio de Janeiro. Not that I've been there, but since we're just talking the beauty of a place, its location is spectacular, on the Atlantic and the Bay of Guanabara, green mountains and fine beaches; and I speak Portuguese pretty well, so...
Lost Lake in Red River, NM --or-- The big Island of Hawaii. Volcano, Hawaii would be perfect. It's a rainforest!
