So what's your favorite cigar? Personally, I like mild cigars and I am a fan of Ashton Coronas. I also like Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and Rocky Patel Connecticut. BTW, if you like RP, there's an awesome deal today where you can get 20 (various types) for $39. Go to www.cigarsinternational.com
I've had that tasted cigars that taste like crap. I've had cigars that tasted fantastic. But I don't remember which were which. I'm interested in hearing some results from this thread.
You might want to try Acid. Acid is a cigar brand from Nicaragua and they are well known for flavor. They range from Mild to Full in strength. The overall consensus is that the Kuba Kuba is their best cigar. Give it a try.

How does one go about smoking cigars? When you talk about flavor, are u talking about the smoke or the taste on you lips? Every cigar (like 3 in my life) tasted like ass. What am I doing wrong so I can join the likes of Michael and Arnold.
Cohiba Robusto - amazing smoke; and companied with a Vintage Port or the Spice Tree whisky from Compass Box or the Cardenal Mendoza Brandy. Yummy.
I know nothing about cigars, but a nice little cigar shop just opened up near my house. I'll be taking note of the suggestions in this thread and trying some out.
Or ask the ones that run the store, telling them that you are a beginner; if they have a clue about their business they should be able to hand you over some good stuff.
OUTSTANDING LIST. the padron anniversarios are extremely hard to come by here in san antone, but when i do find them i buy as many as possible. a couple of additions: a. romeo y julietta hemingway b. romeo ... short stories c. montecristo #2 torpedoes good cigars on the cheap...especially for a beginner. had a good ashton the other day, but i cannot remember exactly what kind it was...
Instead of inhaling, you pull the smoke into your mouth, enjoy the flavor, of the smoke (and a slight flavor on the lips) and then blow the smoke out. I've always hated cigarettes. The first cigar I ever had tasted like ass. I figured I just didn't like smoking at all. Then, one day, a co-worker talked me into trying one of his cigars and it tasted incredible. I wish I'd written down what kind of cigar that was. Also, what I've learned is... there are many, many cigars with many many different flavors. If one tastes like ass, you may want to give a completely different cigar a try.
That's an awesome list! One of the cool things about the Padron Anniversary Series is that when you are halfway through the cigar, it's as if the taste changes entirely. The chocolate taste on this is great! Expensive cigar, but worth every penny.
