$256. House: 2000 square ft Thermostat stays set on 79 degrees. In the 4 years I've lived in my house this is the highest bill I've ever had. I switched over to Stream energy a couple of months ago. If this is cheaper than Reliant I hate to think how much that would have been.
I just want to know if they are really reading my meter, or averaging out my costs. Does the electric company really know how much I use?
Last month my bill was 140. This month, 290. Freaking INSANE. I checked my kilowatt useage, it has increased by maybe 20%, not 100%.
$159 at the apartment. But I just filled the 550gl oil tank at my house upstate at $2.59 a gallon. You do the math!
you have some sort of other problem going on ......a pool pump adds cost, but not that much you outta call into Gary Parr's show on KSEV sat mornin ...hes an HVAC expert and works out in the Cypress area
2800 sq. ft. - 2 story 75 during day - 74 during night (I actually like my house cool, some of you I won't ever be coming over to your house (which is probably a good thing) - cause keeping your house 77-80 - damn its cooler under the tree in my front yard) Direct Energy - $405
1000 sq. ft. apartment. Bill is around $140. Thermostat goes to 70 at night and 75 during the day. You guys seriously need to look into Tara Energy. They are better then almost anybody else out there.
Our bill this month was just under $250 for our roughly 1,200 sf home, but I keep the place pretty cool (70 during the day, sometimes down to 65 at night, though the thermostat seems to be about five degrees off from reality) so that seemed about right.
I have a 1250 sqft 2 story townhome. I'm with Stream Energy and my bill has been around $125 all summer. 79 during day, 76 at night.
2000 sq. ft - 79 during the days I am not at home, 76 when I am - 68-72 at night. $300 - my wife flipped out We are fixing to build a 3200 sq ft with bonus room upstairs, hopefully it will be much more efficient.
Just got my bill today- Last month it was 117 this month 122 I live in a 700 sq ft condo in Austin close to campus- it is high but beats living in the heat- when I get home I want to be comfortable.
I live in Austin, but out towards Manor. I've got Bluebonnet Co-Op. 1700 sq. ft. house. It was $166 this past month. 30% higher than last year. AC is on 83 during the day and 78 at night. I'm thinking about getting solar screens soon.
if you keep your place at 79 degrees you may as well just get rid of your air conditioner. 79, 89, 99, they would all be unbearably uncomfortable anyway. i put mine at about 76 during the day while i'm here but it's definitely 2 or 3 degrees off on the high end so we're looking at 73 or so. then it's down to 73 (70 in real life) at night. we have a 1150 sq. ft. apt and it'll probably come in around $200 this month.
Mine is awful. 1800 sq foot house Thermostat stays on 78 during the day (except weekends) 73 - 76 when at home $330 last month! Direct Energy
