i was bored and i decided to come up with a fun thread for everyone...what 5 players would you have like to see in the same team for one game? legends, stars, everyone can be included, but they have to be professional bball players. every player in their prime, time is never a factor. this would be an amazing line-up, the best ever. Pg Steve Nash Sg Kobe Bryant Sf Michael Jordan Pf Kevin Garnett C Hakeem Olajuwon i mean, in my opinion nash is the best player ever at creating plays, and you have the best two guards ever, along with one of the best pf of all time, who at his prime could shoot a 3, play inside, and shoot pretty much everywhere, and the best center of all time, hakeem, who would dominate the inside presence and can share the ball inside, as well as steal and block like crazy. i challenge anyone to beat these 5 players? choose any 5 including these...and put why too.
Mine is pretty normal (maybe except the PF) PG Magic SG Jordan SF Bird PF Mchale C Olajuwon The only problem is that the guards are not great 3point shooters, However they will make up for it in other ways.
Sam Cassell Bobby Jackson Eddie House Bonzi Wells Eddie Griffin(RIP) ------------------------------- Would never lose.............
Magic Jordan Bird Dream Wilt ---------------------------------- Best team hands down, impossible to make one better...
I am going to mix it up and say Gary Payton Michael Jordan Larry Bird Dwight Howard or Garnett Hakeem Olajuwon I am not saying these are the top five at each respective position, but all are fantastic two way players, fierce competitors, who can be effective with and without the ball.
I'd have Dirk at the 4 - if they are to play as a team - it would help space the floor Hakeem, Magic, and MJ. Hakeem and MJ can help out on defense to cover for Dirk.
probably not as good as some mentioned bu ones i like watching hakeem olajuwon chuck hayes glen rice steve francis steve nash maybe if aaron brooks gets a whole lot better id drop nash to make it an all rocket lineup
If it includes all decades then: 1) Magic Johnson at PG 2) Michael Jordan at SG 3) Larry Bird at SF 4) Hakeem Olajuwon at PF 5) Shaq at C Bench: 1) Kobe Bryant at PG 2) Lebron James at SG 3) Clyde Drexler at SF 4) Moses Malone at PF 5) Kareem Abdul Jabbar at C
PG. Stockton (yeah I know, but he was amazing) SG. Julius Erving (from the ABA days) SF. Chris Mullin (sweet stroke) PF. Dennis Rodman (bad boys Rodman who avg'd 18 RPG) C. Dream ('nuff said) That team has everything: great distributor, basket attacker, one of the greatest pure shooters ever, THE best rebounder ever, and, well, Dream.
nobody has put lebron at the SF position yet (at least starting)? really? magic at pg, jordan at sg, lebron at sf, and hakeem at pf seem pretty obvious to me. and then either wilt or shaq at center. i'd take prime shaq myself. you get 3 of the 4 biggest physical freaks ever (wilt, jordan, shaq, and lebron) and only miss the 4th because 2 play the same position. magic, jordan, and lebron would be the best fastbreak trio ever. hakeem is the obvious pf because his speed lets you get another Big 5 center in the lineup and wilt or shaq give you the unstoppable strength inside. no pure shooting but it wouldn't really matter.
PG: Magic Johnson SG: Michael Jordan SF: Larry Bird PF: Hakeem Olajuwon C: Bill Russell Reason I put Russell over Wilt/Kareem/Moses/Duncan/Shaq is the fact that 1-4 already brings alot of scoring to the table.
PG: Gary Payton SG: Michael Jordan SF: Scottie Pippen PF: Kevin Garnett C: Bill Russell Try and score against this lineup.
