This article got me thinking...how many times have I screwed the pooch by just jumping in to working or building something without reading the manual? My biggest foul-up just happened- I laid down 1200 sq foot of hardwood floors...and had to pull them up and lay them back down again because I didn't know that I had to glue the joints together... which was clearly noted in the manual...which I read after I laid them down. It wasn't a huge deal because the floors were floated- they weren't glued or nailed to the floor, but it took me an entire weekend of 15-hour days to fix it.
How about not posting the correct link? Link FAIL. <a href="http://failblog.org/2009/11/07/career-fair-fail/"><img class="mine_2797745920" title="epic-fail-career-fair-fail" src="http://failblog.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/epic-fail-career-fair-fail.jpg" alt="epic fail pictures" /></a>
My brother in law once went out and bought the most expensive basketball goal at Academy for my nephew. Of course he didnt bother to read the manual therefore... -It wont raise to 10 feet. -It's crooked. -It wont stand up on it's own. one time I tried to peel or pop off the microphone off my apple iphone's headphones. i thought they got cheap and tried to splice a cut cord back together. luckily nothing happened to it before i realized it was the mic.
let's see. i've put hinges on the wrong side of a shelf, i've assembled a model ship and completely screwed it up, and then, well...tampons can be tricky the first time.
