    The catch is you can only name one.

    No "honorable mention", no "it's a tie between...", no "I can't name just one" etc. If you want to list a bunch of bands no one else has heard of so everyone will know how hip you are. go to the "What are you listening to" thread. ;)

    What is the one band that everyone associates with you?

    Ex) Surfguy = Rush
    RM95 = DMB
    Oski = U2 (?)

    I guess mine is no secret.

    The Police

    When I was in high school, more people knew about my obsession with The Police than actually knew my name. The first band I ever played in was a Police Tribute Band. First ever gig was with this band at Fitz's. Walls were covered with pictures of Stewart Copeland.

    Apparently bands that start with 'P' are pretty popular. :)

    My actual favorite is U2...

    but people often associate Counting Crows with me, since that's a little less popular of a choice and I'm always singing/quoting those songs.

    Used to, people associated Midnight Oil with me. Because I seemed to be the only person around here who knew they had more than one song.

    (the answer is always complicated :) )

    The old p*rn mustache Al is a little cooler than the new aerodynamic Al...I wish he'd wear some non-corrective glasses just for old times sake.

    Impossible for me to pick just one.

    That's why I use a nose shovel.

    I'll be happily unoriginal and pick Led Zeppelin.

    LED ZEPPELIN

    Indescribably excellent. They are the best thing that ever happened to Rock, in MY opinion.

    Simply Red.

    I lived in Sicily for four years, during this band's hey-day, and they're huge worldwide but less so here (kinda like soccer, I guess).
