...not 8-4 by the tone of the GARM lately. Just a few notes: We played 10 games in our first 18 days. We've played 7 of our first 12 on the road. We are 4-3 in road games and 4-1 at home. We are one of the best defensive teams in the league and consistently outrebound our opponents (something that STILL surprises me). We are, arguably, the best three point shooting team in the NBA ranking #6 in percentage and #2 in attempts - a ranking that most teams would absolutely KILL for. Yao is top 15 in multiple categories including scoring and rebounding. All this despite the fact that... Our "starting" power forward missed several games with injuries. Our second star has yet to get on track offensively. The guy that was supposed to be our sixth man has barely played at all. --- So, what exactly is the issue? I get the blown leads and the turnovers. Those have to be corrected. But, we have played a very tough schedule with ZERO losses to teams we should beat. I just don't get how everyone can complain so vehemently when we are winning. God help us if we were losing.
Face it, It doesn't matter if we win or lose, I think the majority of the fans want to see us do bad just so they can complain and whine about the team.
8-4 is nice, but we are not a elite team yet. believe me, I can tell when I see one. we gonna win 50 games barring major injuries, but the question is can we get out of the 1st round.

With just a little bad luck, we could easily be 4-8 now. That, and the fact that we can't seem to fix it without playing a rookie (VSpan), is what worries me.
Maybe because we haven't beat any good team except those happened to be in a slump? Or maybe because we should be 10-2 or 9-3 if JVG played Vspan and Novak more?

With all the problems pointed out, we have had LITTLE problem getting a big lead at some point in the 3rd quarter! I wonder how that can be explained. The thing is this team plays like two totally different teams in the first 30 minutes and in the last 18 minutes. That is what drives everyone nuts.
Great post. Excellent point in reminding everyone that we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat. This was not the case last year or..... jesus since 95'. As the season progresses and the wins pile up we're gonna see the confidence and chemistry needed for the "killer instinct" in the 4th. Be patient people we're winning even though this roster is pratically new.
thanks for this post. I really needed to see this, because so many members of this board think they should be the coach of the rockets, and that they could have coached this team to a better record. JVG may not be doing everything right, but hes not doing everything wrong. tonight, we held a high powered washington team to under 90 points. Granted, there may be some better adjustments to the rotation, but like you said, we are not 4-8
Comeon now. So we beat a team, and it is in slump. Dont take a win for granted. The lowly Bobcats took Spurs in San Anton. The lowly wizards beat Clevand which beat Spurs. Even the Griz can bite you if you are not careful. The pathetic knicks actually blew teams out at their home. Just be gracious of the winning record right now.
