    - 55 wins, including an 22 wins in a row (2nd NBA record after Laker streak) last season
    - 55 wins with Yao Ming injured part of last season

    - 53 wins this year with a 20 million hole in the roster for a part of the season
    - Getting past the 1st round for the first time in the last 12 years, against a healthy Portland roster, while we have a 20 million gap in our roster

I don't even care if we lose to the Lakers in 4 - you won't find a better coach available on the market than Adelman.

I agree...I have been saying it all last year and this year...this guy deserves much more respect than he gets on this board.

Apparently he's not getting that respect even after advancing to the second round.

Adelman's a winner. He won't put you over the top, but he'll give the team a chance to win it for themselves.

JVG is good but Adelman is better. He has been successful in bringing teams to the finals many times but unable to win it though. JVG only did it once.

I didn't like the hire at first, and I still think JVG could have won a championship here if Morey was building the team for him, but Adelman has really come around on me.

His adjustments and substitutions this series were perfect. I wish he'd play Vakeaton a little bit more, but I'm very impressed with what he's been able to do here.

He is a real good coach. Had Yao moving all around the court.

I thought he quit years ago, because of the high stress levels and his medical problems.

Could be right. I'd think anyone was on the market though.

Yep, THAT is how you beat a fronting defense, you move the ball and the bodies and boom...openings all over the place.

Adelman is a great coach, we are lucky to have him.

Good coach. Good coach for whole team and Yao like the leader for the playoffs.

I like Gundy but if he still coachs our team, he would not play Von, he would not make that Rafer's trade and he might have some problems with Ron (like he did with Bonzi)

They weren't completely healthy, no Webster - but I agree with the sentiment.

I also apologized to Rick in chat last night when I lambasted him for putting all the starters in so early in the 4th. He was right, I was wrong. I can own up to it! ;)

I was wondering where the Adelman appreciation threads are. I am glad to find one Adelman did great with this team and I do not want to see anymore JVG vs. Adelman posts please move on and enjoy what you have. It is like wasting time remembering an X-girlfriend and comparing her to the current one eventhough she used to suck back then. just move on and enjoy the current one.
