I like DIY home theater setups that doubles as your music listening, not full blown professionally done setups, I'd go to the cinema for that.

If you sit real close and wear headphones it's like having a home theater.

Wow...People have wayyyy too much disposable income... :D

I guess the movie theater thing is too plain, so more power to them...The batcave is pretty cool....

I hope that is a LCD, otherwise you need an upgrade. The world is so much nicer since I got my 52" Tv for my living room. I can remember thinking my 27" flat screen was so awesome in my livingroom, and now it is in storage because it is too small for my house, and my Fiancee won't let me put it in our son's room.

i dont, but every house we build includes a theater... pretty standard actually.

haven't done anything outrageous like those, though.

    howd you know!

nah. i keep it old school with the tube! Honestly, im not much of a tv w****. Sure a nice big flat screen looks great and all, but I just doesnt get me excited enough to run out and get one. It's just not high on my priority list...what can i say.

I have a 20" Sanyo CRT television with a RF convertor connected to the cable input so I can plug my DVD player into it. Whenever the picture on the screen is predominately white, the tube flickers and warps. The remote control buttons are dying - I can no longer scan through the channels and have to enter each number of each channel individually. Basically, it's the best home theater known to man (in 1972).

I've been watching Rockets games on it for 8 years, so I find it difficult to fall-in-line with the latest dictates of consumer technology when it works fine for what I use it for - and, I guess I don't really know what I'm missing (but I plan to continue to be ignorant!). In a couple years these big flat-panel monstrosities are going to be half the price they are now anyway.

Ditto. (Except my tv is 36")

I mean, I understand the attraction of a giant HD screen to watch, but I am just never home enough to watch it. The most I sit in front of the TV at one time is for a football game, and then I'm watching for the excitement on the field, not how the field looks.

Damn! I'd set up a 360 on that and play Halo all day long.

they really aren't that expensive man. $500-$700, you can get something bigger and nicer than your 20 in crt. by the way, I had 20inch Sanyo in college.

gauche....not to mention when you're sitting in your own home you want to lie back on big sofas or at least recliner beds like you get in first class of airliners...
