    .... and she's you, except she's female...

    Positives, negatives, implications...? Any experiences?

Feel free to draw comparisons to that episode of Seinfeld...

I've known her for a while, but I only got to know her a couple of months ago... There's bound to be differences, but I can completely sense that this is different for the very reason I gave... The way she was brought up, the people she was brought up with, lifestyle, culture, preferences, anal tendencies (pet peeves), interests, everything...

personally, i've never looked at a woman based on how much she is like me. Woman are different; that's just a fact. And that's what makes them so l o v e l y. maybe it 's just a difference of semantics between me and you.

I'll leave by saying: while I don't think a woman can be the same as you at first, you can grow to be the same together.

not like I know what I'm talking about, but I have read about this phenomenon of growing to be one in the same.

I need someone a little more outgoing than me. She needs to be the man of the relationship!

I'd turn around and head the other direction, but at least by first impressions I wouldn't consider myself much of a catch, I don't want to date a fat woman with facial hair.

I totally read this the wrong way, and was thinking this thread had gotten really bizarro real fast.

    I think it's a positive.

Except...if you both have super-competitive personalities. That might not work out so well.

Moes and I are definitely a lot alike. We both live for sports and food, basically. Heh. We've been dating for almost a year now with minimal arguments/disagreements. It's just like, most of our conversations are friend-like, which is nice. We spend a lot of time critiquing the Rockets, go to movies, talk in bed before we go to sleep, etc. Not very much drama.

Probably the longest string of days we've been together has been 10 or 11 though. If he lives with me and never gets a break he might get sick of me quickly.

Maaaan.. as long as she's not expensive, I'm up for it. My current lady is costing me quite a lot.

They say you're naturally attracted to people that look like you, but for me, that's never really been the case.

    No, I think it's negative.

With competitive demeanors, this is just hell.

With laid back demeanors, no one takes control. =/

It's like they always say: Opposites attract.

They tend to balance each other out.

But it's up to you. Your case just might be an exception (and yes, there are loads of these in the world)
