In reference to Manny's thread about the Nickelback songs that sound the same. Today I just read an article about this guy below. I am quite amused: http://www.youhavebadtasteinmusic.com/ I think this guy deserves a own thread. Did you heard about this guy or even better. Did anyone see him live before a concert?
i think this thread is funny...and i agree with a lot of it. but i think it's funny that we assume that if someone is commercially successful, that they're instantly bad musicians who play bad music. that's simply not true. Train --- i thought this group was excellent when they released their first album...but it's been all downhill since then.
Its not that people who have commercial success are not good, its that we are beat over the head with anything that becomes remotely popular. I absolutely hate listening to regular radio anymore because it is all the same crap being played relentlessly. Variety is the spice of life. I dont have to hear Roses every hour.
very true. i just think we have a backlash...when a group gets commercially successful, people start basting them. and those that find instant success aren't adjudged to be good musicians, even if they are.
OMG that Linkin Park one was classic! The look on that one dude's face when he realized he was being told that he had bad taste in music was priceless!
damn, only now I have checked the clips. Before at work I just wrote the article in a magazine about that guy. But now, seeing the clips,............Hooohoooooo. I guess this guy becomes famous and most likely preeeeeeeeety hated.
Heh, now I'm pissed, that site made fun of my favorite driver. I'm sure they paid quite a hefty fee to be on his car.
Haha, How big a loser does one have to be to threaten to kick someone's ass for saying that Train is bad music...... Adema clip I'm gonna serve you a summons for 19.99 to replace my chalkboard ... you'll have to work seven hours to pay that off.... ROLLERCOASTER, ROLLERCOASTER, ROLLERCOASTER, ROLLERCOASTER, oh wait, is he making fun of me???
"Hoobastank would be the perfect poster boy for faceless american music, except for the fact, that if you think about it, a poster boy can't be faceless."
Man, not only do I have bad taste in music, but I have SH!TTY taste in music according to this guy. I do agree with him about Justin Timberlake and Christina, and I haven't listened to Ruben.
