Doesn't it seem like we are lacking some energy in the building? I am not talking about the team or their play, but the buzz. More so today than in years past. I went to the Magic game tonight and I was bored. I never have been bored at a Rox game....even the Rowdy's couldn't get me excited, until the last 2 min. of the game.

The half time sucked....the RPD's wern't all that great. It just seemed boring. I can't be the only one, and if I am not I can't see most Houstonians spending $40-$50 per tix for the poor showing tonight. (now I am talking about their play)

It's been pretty bad ever since they moved into Toyota Center, but it doesn't help when a large portion of the team looks like they've lost their will to win.

ive been to a few games this season, and i yawn at all of them. its so boring. even when we win. It was sad today how many empty seats there were all game, and how many people left early in the game.

Also i think its funny how we have an "It's time" motto, but we play a bunch of songs from years past to get the crowd crunk. I'm sorry but Kid Rock's Bawitdaba does not get my crunk anymore.

    cause and effect

if the Rockets play well the fans will come and be loud (well, ok maybe more fans won't come, but the ones there will get into it more)

I remember that one fastbreak where Bonzi finished with a dunk and the crowd got on their feet and cheered big time

And, get this...it was a sell out game. Now, I didn't go to the game but you can clearly see on TV that there were PLENTY of empty seats in the lower section of the arena.

Have there been complaints filed against the Rockets organization regarding the corporate that hardly show up to the games? Or, do the Rockets know about this situation. Something HAS to be done.

The fans need a reason to cheer for their team. You can't possibly expect us(the fans) to cheer on a quitter and a couple of lazy players on the court who don't even care anymore.

You think that is bad ... I was at the Net's home game against the Rockets. That place was QUIET. The Nets never had the lead *AND* there were tons of fans with Yao and TMac jerseys on. Worse yet, a bunch of people around me were clapping their clappers (I sat behind the baseline) when the NETS were shooting freethrows! It was hilarious!

    1) The midcourt lower level seats need to be filled. I think they ought to be re-issued. Hell take people who give two sh!ts about the game and fill them in those seats.

    2) I think that our non game entertainment sucks, including our mascot/cheerleaders. Clutch is normally great, but tonight I barely saw him. I like the Launch crew and the RPD are good to look at, but the rest sucks. All of the time out games suck.

1)Majority of the lower bowl are already sold for the rest of the season. everybody has complained about this ad nauseum, we can't do anything about it. Why don't you buy all the remaining lower bowl seats for next season and disperse them for free on clutchfans? It would solve your complaint right there and you would be THE MAN around here.

2)Welcome to the NBA. Most non game entertainments in every arena are about the same. You said our mascot/RPD sucks yet then say clutch is normally great and the rpd are good to look at. sounds like b**** and moan for the sake of b**** and moan.

just go back to the Trade TMac threads like the rest of the whiners :p

i went to the dallas game on saturday, and there were few moments to cheer for rockets. I remembered steve hitting a three, and then a bunch of TOs in the 3rd and getting torched by devin harris and was thinking oh no, who is going to play point?????????????? and it was head who came in, sigh...

rockets at least in that game were close but the game always felt in dallas's favor, so personally it was hard for me to really cheer and get into it, especially when there was little reason to get real excited. yes there were a few good moments, but rockets were never able to string a number of possessions together to make it serious. red rowdies even for me that night were rather subdued.

Yes, they have played it prior to all the games I went to (Phoenix, Dallas, Detroit, Orlando). Out of all these games, I would say this Detroit was the most rowdy but these days that isn't saying much.

It also gives me chills anytime I see Dream double-spin Robinson, see Clyde and Dream hi-five with their championship hats and down-pouring confetti or hear 'don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion'.

It's a shame that all I can think is what a farce it is to try and sell this team as the second billing of the first incarnation. Even if the player comparisons are reasonable, we don't have Dream anymore and thus we don't have the team that we had.

Side Note: Anybody at the game tonight or at the Detroit game see 'that drunk lady'???? She was with a dude in an NBC jacket last week and the same guy tonight. She absolutely would not leave me or my girlfriend alone, and every time I would yell for a refund from Tmac (which was every minute or so), she would spurt something nonsensical and then blow me a kiss???? These are the people we need to usurp.

She has to be on something other than alcohol, which she DEFINITELY had her share of. I was in 114 during the Pistons game and she was ahead of me and same for tonight in 103, and she was more of a spectacle than the game. The Rowdies were hooting and hollering at her because of her 'dancing', and more alarmingly both she and her sugar daddy seemed completely unaware at what an ass she was making of the two of them.

To those who haven't seen this lady, it probably sounds like any other knucklehead but anybody who was in my section tonight would know who I am talking about. Just curious who else noticed what I did.

I've been to a handful of games this year - both lower level and upper level. The upper level fans (other than the red rowdies) are into the game a lot more and the upper level is always fuller than than the lower one. Corporate fans suck - the ones that actually show up anways.

Also, I wouldn't be upset if fans start booing the product out their on the floor. As a matter of fact, this might help get things going. The front office, coaches, and players would realize how upset the fans really are, but this is probably asking too much from the generally apathetic Toyota Center crowd. This might be the only lesson Rockets' fans can learn from Knicks' fans.

Have to take offense to this comment since I am one of the "corporate fans" that supposedly suck. I would venture to say, atleast for the fans that sit around me (who yes show up in suits) know more about bball than the majority of the people on here. Come down behind the bench with me one game and I think you'll change your opinion.

Just for a point of refrence, as loud as the upper bowl supposedly is, I've never heard anything coming from up there while sitting down lower. So even if the "corporate fans" were loud, you would never hear them sitting in the upper bowl.

    re: Non-game related entertainment.

The Launch Crew rocks. They are the best nightly arena entertainment since Turbo. The RPD dunks are really cool, too, but they don't do that every night.
