You people think that maybe the west is week or weekening? im looking at the standings and Phnx looks weaker , Portland Weaker , and Utah is weaker so thats 3 spots up for grabs. 1.LA 2.Sacra 3.SAS 4.Dallas These are taken now whos gona go up and take 5, 6, 7, 8??
I don't see why people are so high on the Clippers anyways. Last year they were 31-51, now with the addition of Brand, all of a sudden they're playoff bound? I don't think so. To be realistic, I think the Suns are still going to make the playoffs. Sure, they lost the best point-guard in Jason Kidd and also key veteran Cliff Robinson. But in return, they brought in another All-Star point-guard Stephon Marbury and not to mention the return of Hardaway. So they basically cancels out the depature of Kidd and Robinson.
I had said 5-8 was a tossup. Between, Hou,Utah,Minn,Port,Phoe, and Sea it will be a battle. Its going to come down to winning the close one you're suppose to and a few you're not. I've seen Seattle play a couple of times and they look pretty good with slimmed down baker and a ever improving Lewis. I think Port is on a downard spiral from what I've seen. Bonzi Wells whats and should keep the starting spot and Cheeks isn't ready to bench Pippen, but he should. T' Wolves are a very basice versitile team that always start off strong, but fades as the yr goes on. Phoe has 3 explosive players at the 1,2, and 3, and everyone has seen the old penny back to form. Utah, is utah. They had the Lakers beat in La last night , but La managed to pull it out , so they're not dead yet either. I don't think the 5-8 seeds will win more than 50 games at the most. With the stronger eastern conference, the 5-10 seed will be seperated by 3 games probably. It will be fun and every game will mean so much for the Rockets. It will no longer be acceptable to lose to GS, Vanc, or Clipps if we want to make the post season.
