I'm sorry if this has been asked, cause I haven't been to this forum in 3 years. Anyway. Grant Hill says he's gonna retire now, but can the prospect of him joining Yao and T-Mac convince him to play a bench role? How hurt was he last season? Can he come back? If so, I'm sure he's cheap as hell. It would be cool to have Hill in the bench.
How about bringing back Latrell Sprewell? i am afraid his children are starving now you might also want to consider Allan Houston, who is as injured as Grant Hill as a matter of fact did you know that Penny Hardaway is interested in joining the Rockets? (i'm serious, i read an newspaper article about it)
Yo, hows about we stop thinking about getting players who are 34+ years old and start thinking about young/upcoming players who can help.
Hey John Stockton's doing nothing these days, right? Bet he's in shape. ... Man, it just saddens me when all we have left is Cato. CATO! THE IRONY.
Aw God, why not throw in Hakeem in there as well? But seriously, I'm OK with Grant, IF and only IF we can get rid of JHo. Grant's tall, pretty well rounded, and I'm a little interested in seeing the Tracy-Grant duo that the Magic supposed to have when they signed the two. I'm also alright with Penny. Hey, we're desperate. Those two would be filling in for Rudy Gay here.
Grant Hill is awesome, assuming we have a time machine and go back to when he was with the Pistons. But! He is an admirable person and I think he would fit with our guys (socially)
Grant Hill actually did pretty good last year... the few games he did play in. I think he'll always be a good basketball player, he's just never gonna get over his surgery.
Strange seeing so many people down on Grant Hill considering how many slurp Novak. Hell yall slurped Dan Langhi for years... I shouldnt be surprised.
It would be cool to have Hill on the bench??? He retired due an injury he was never able to overcome, slight of a miracle, the only thing he would do for us is warm the bench!
While were at it, T-mac and magic johnson are good friends! i wonder if tmac can talk magic into returning too
ditto! Man, I was really hope this was joke, but when I started reading the thread, I guess the OP was serious. Just what we need, another OLD, INJURED vet to waste our money on. ... Brilliant
But look here...look here... Grant Hill was an all-star as recently as two years ago AFTER years of surgery. I'm not suggesting he'll be like that again, but if you can get him for 1 mil a year, playing 11 minutes behind T-Mac, basically minimizing his injury, assuming right now he's recovered enough to play...it would be better than Ryan Bowen. As for grabbing 34+ old guys to help... ...seriously, now that we lost the Mike James sweepstakes, what options are there left except: 1.) Tank another season and go for the enticingly deep 2007 draft ( which is a good idea, actually ) - OR - 2.) Get a bunch of old guys for 1 mil/year to fill your bench and have them play 10-20 min a night. Penny Hardaway, Latrell Sprewell, Grant Hill, Deke. This wouldn't be a sixth seed? Right now, we have an 11th seeded team. Let's be real. No one's left barring some major trade.
You kidding me? Grant Hill's already on our team (at least his second coming is). I hope that the severity of T-Mac's back condition isn't being hidden. But if it's worse than he keeps telling everybody, then we sure don't need Grant-over-the-top-and-fell-down-the-Hill on our team.
