That's what I heard from the TV commentator in the Kings game boardcast. The NBA said that he just shouted so they cancelled it. So YM's still without a technical this season. Hope he picks one up soon!!!
no, no, no do not do that!! good god, the guy probably wanted to shake off that soft image with a technical...so now after trying to get a technical foul the NBA commitie is basically saying that Yao is too much of a girly man to get a technical...even when he tries. geez now he is really going to look like a puss. no, no, Yao needs to dispute this. Yao needs to demand a third hearing to defend his right to get a technical. theres no taking technicals away in sports. thats absurd
Yes I agree - if this is true the Rockets needs to appeal it and get it reversed to its original state.
I think there must be some reservation on the boards now after we complained about Shaq and Phil Jackson getting their fouls reversed. But, it is good (in a very, very minor way) to get the tech reversed. All the same, I thought he actually did deserve it. He may not have been trying to taunt but he did end up screaming right in the guy's face. I'd have let the tech stand.

Originally posted by A-Train Steve has plenty of technical fouls to go around...give one of his to Yao!

Technically speaking, Francis is selfish.
Now now, HP. Francis is doing a much better job distributing technicals this season. Not like the last few seasons where he would immediately get all the technicals himself, instead of holding back and letting a teammate get them. Maybe he is "getting it."
Thats just a very strange matcho view! He can be a competitive power player with great moves without being known as a brute or a player from the School of Hard Knocks. Not all men play Basketball in the same mental condition and it is unfair to use such remarks to deride his personality.By the time we win it all Yao Ming will have developed a ruthless desire for winning!
Maybe the next time Yao is at the free throw line he should look over one shoulder, then the other, then punch Billy Paultz! Now that is tough!
