I know there are some members on this BBS at the YMCA. I want to be a member at the YMCA in downtown so I can play basketball there. First of all, do they have courts there? Second of all, how much is a fee per month or year, or what? Third, do I have to be a Christian?
I don't know about the downtown one but most do have courts. I don't remember the fee, and no you don't have to be Christian
While I'm pretty sure each YMCA is different, I pay $35 a month for a family membership. Individual memberships are cheaper, but I'm not sure by how much. I'm not in Houston, however, so it may be a different. But maybe that will at least give you some kind of idea.
yes they have courts. all indoor of course. a total of eight baskets. two "full" courts, with one of the courts having four goals with two goals on the sides of each half.
is there a guest pass for the day and how much is it, and do you have to be escorted by a member? I want to find a common place for a group of guys to play ball. I already have a 24 hour membership so I can play ball with strangers anytime there.
well..you don't have to be a christian. but you do have to help out with some of our sacrificial poultry rituals. thanks in advance.
There is a Membership fee $50 to join, then a monthly fee of $30 that they want to deduct from your debit or checking account. I played there this weekend. The two full sized courts arent bad. Have you checked into Fonde? It's on Memorial and a lot of NBA guys can be found playing there in the offseason.
