ESPN - Jefferson For Yi and Simmons

Apparently, Richard Jefferson has been traded for Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons per ESPN Radio.

Confirmed by a few that have listened to ESPN Radio.

I figured RJ was worth more than that. Psh. Good trade for the Bucks.

So without Yi do the Bucks still want Alexander?

Terrible deal for NJ. Simmons only played well in his contract year and Yi is a definite work in progress

No clue why Milwaukee drafted Yi so high anyways. As if they were actually going to get great investments from it, the guy is like 24 but says he 19. Good trade for them I guess.

The Bucks seem to make out pretty well in getting the better player in Jefferson + getting out from Simmons' contract.
But you know Yi and his "representatives" are jumping for joy to get into the NY/NJ market.

Nets save $11.69M over this deal.

So does Yi's agent win out against the Bucks in the long run?

I wish we could steal Carter away from the Nets them since it's apparent they're in the midst of a firesale.

What is the fascination with Carter? He's as washed up as Stevie Franchise.

This is definitely a better deal for the Bucks short term. I would imagine that Yi will develop into a good player though. The Nets are rebuilding, why not rebuild with someone who will get you lots of Chinese contracts.

This and the Clippers/Sonics trade could really shake things up in the lottery. The Bucks were supposedly going to draft Joe Alexander, but now that Yi is gone and Jefferson is obviously their new small forward, I'm not sure they go there...unless they think they can play Alexander at the PF spot.

    Mo Williams
    Michael Redd
    Richard Jefferson
    Joe Alexander
    Andrew Bogut

Hmm...they'd be awesome on offense, at least.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Last year Carter averaged: 21 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds

45% from the field, 81.6% from the line, and 36% from beyond the arc.

If Carter is washed up then McGrady is already retired.

we shall see how yi plays. The bucks stillplay no defense after this trade. Bucks probably go pg or big at the 8 spot.
