    T-Rex - Electric Warrior

Two Hoots and a Holler - No Man's Land

I'm ion a huge T-Rex kick lately. Marc Bolan was really insane(read a biography on him) but a lot of his music is really upbeat. It's almost as if he truly loved where his madness had taken him.

I laugh frequently while listening to his stuff.

Kind of late chiming in, but I always love these threads as some of you guys really have great taste and I never fail to pick up a gem or two as a result.

Well, the 5 cds in the player are:

    Jayhawks - Rainy Day Music

Saidies - Favourite Colours - Caught the guys with Neko Case recently and they are incredible musicians. I bought this cd at the show.

Brian Wilson - Smile - I already expressed my love for this cd in a lame attempt at a review here. Surprisingly, Smile is up for a grammy.

Anna Warronker - Anna - Simply killer!

Geraldine Fibbers - Butch - This CD just keeps getting better.

BTW, Mr Meowgis' Buzzcock fixation has me wanting to go get a Different Kind of Tension and Singles Going Steady on CD. I lost my vinyl versions years ago and between his mentions of them and a surprising amount of airplay from them on San Diegos' alt radio stations has me Jonsing in a bad way

    Great f'n CD!

BTW, I've been listening to RealRhapsody alot lately through a free 30 day and then a free 14 day trial. I have found so many new artists I can't keep up with them. One I was checking out earlier is Afu-Ra, an east coast hip-hop artist from the 90's. I've also found some really bad artists such as ID-X who did an Eminem dis-song that features none other than his own mother!!!

If anyone is interested in how to check out the free trial, shoot me an email.

Currently I'm listening to KISS - Smashes, Thrashes And Hits.

LET'S PUT THE X IN SEX!

Ok, just started listening to something new so I wanted to update.

    The Dresden Dolls (self titled)

Oh, and in anticipation of the new NIN album coming out in May, Trent has so kindly released a short 20 second clip of new material. So yeah, I've played that about 100 times in the last 12 hours. http://www.nin.com/visuals/with_teeth_teaser.html

Hey kids, I need some new crunching powerchord music but without the vocalist screaming his throat out in angst. Jet is great,
The Hives are good...give me a couple of more suggestions.

Here's my six in the truck:

    Yes - Keystudio
Neil Young - Greatest Hits (Neil's great on rainy winter days)
Southern Culture on the Skids - Mojo Box
Kings of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood (still in there)
John Hiatt - Beneath This Gruff Exterior
The Delgaddo Brothers - A Brother's Dream (blues fan's check them out)

Made a switch today. I have been rotating between the:

Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now
Cornershop - Woman's Gotta Have it
Cornershop - Handcream for a Generation

I'm still obsessed with T- Rex. So I will probably slip some more T - Rex listening in sometime during the day.

I think the Who Thread is helping keep me focussed on him because of a line from one of the Who Songs which mentions him.

Wow, is that the same Cornershop from "Brimful of Asha." I loved that song, and have the album. Then I proceeded to forget about the group. Maybe time to find some of their new music.
