That's right ladies!!! Two weeks and I'm on summer vacation again!!! Usually I wait until the last week of school, but it just doesn't seem like enough time to fully gloat about having about 3 months off this year.

The sweetest thing is that I'm finishing the curriculum with a novel, which means NO MORE ESSAYS TO GRADE!!!

I think I'll start cleaning the walls of my class this coming Monday.

Falcons Talon has the glorious Superpower of coasting into summer vacation dreams before his students even consider falling asleep on him in class.

If I had the summer off, I would spend what little money I would have on my nails and then check out those new thongs all the other ladies have been raving about. Guys in the mall are so cute, I just want to tinkle.

It feels so nice to be a lady in this thread.

    wait...

i hate summer time at the malls because of the idiot teens.

at the same time, i love the idiot teens.

no seriously though, the MILF population goes down.

i like having the mall to myself.

like earlier this week, monday i think, i went to a female store, and bought a gift card, and i didnt have to wait in line at a chick store like a dumbass.

Well, if my interview next month goes well, this will be the last time the term "summer vacation" means nothing to me.

Getting laid off may end up being the best thing that ever happened to me. :)

2 more weeks for me. Those 2 weeks include field day, a field trip an awards ceremony where all the kids leave at 10;00 and a half day. My class time will be spent cleaning up our rain forest project and catching up on some science movies (Mythbusters, Bill Nye etc.) that we haven't gotten to watch during our mad TAKS review (90% passing rating). I am planning on working this summer though, we have a large computer deploy on 2 campuses that i will get to take care of.

Well, this caps off another good year!

I just got my student's TAKS results.

    Out of 162 testers, 146 passed. That's a 90% overall pass rate. I had 5 commended.

Of the 44 freshmen in my class, 40 passed...91%
    Of the 112 sophomores, 103 passed...92%
    Of the 5 juniors(repeaters), 2 passed...40%
The one senior I had passed...100%

    I'm pretty pumped!!!

    Falcons Talon Report card
    Freshmen: A
    Sophomores: A
    Juniors: F
    Senior: A

You will need to attend summer school and retake the Juniors. You would have thought that since they repeated, you would have passed. Maybe next time.

    j/k

I'm ok, because these junior kids failed my class as well. They will be taking Eng II as seniors. They just didn't care to try. No tutorials, no effort, no care. I can only do so much with kids like that.

I just received my annual summative annual observation report.

I received an "Exceeds Expectations", the highest rank for an evaluation.

That caps off my year with:

    Exceeds Expectations on Summative Evaluation
    90% TAKS Pass Rate
    Basketball district championship (22-1)
    Basketball tournament champions

I also heard that coaches will be getting a raise as well as my annual step raise.

On a personal note, I have set an apointment to set grounds on my annulment and we should be setting a hearing date for the adoption of my stepchildren. Additionally, I have a buyer for my '92 351 GT...I will be getting $7,500 for her and can finally buy my dream modification for my 06...a kenne bell supercharger...

I am finally feeling like I am getting back on my feet, 6 long years after my divorce.

FT, just be glad you don't live in Houston or else Wayne Douch-afino would be doing another one of his idiotic pieces "exposing" that some teachers didn't pass their ExCET the first time around and telling everyone that, because of that, they're not qualified to teach your precious little children.
