    some observations:

amare sucks- like 10 points and 6 fouls

zarko realllly sucks- he looks lost and slow and doesnt belong, reminds me of boki with no PT, so i guess he still has hope, hes only a rookie

Spurs - duncan = cant make a shot

spurs will struggle this year, their role players suck

Don't bash Amare. He only had 2 TOs in this game. He had 9 in the last preseason game. So he's improving. Give him time. :D

Amare is going to be fine. I don't think he is going to be a superstar, but he will be good. Unless he develops a mid range jumper. The only thing i have seen him do is attack the basket on a miss or that one dribble drive to the basket from his right side. But there is a lot of upside of course.

I think he's a heck of an athlete but is very raw. The guy has no mid range game, and almost any scoring I've ever see him doing is from tip backs. Aside from that one move, the only other I've ever seen from him is drive straight in, take an off balanced fadeaway from 5 feet away and clang it off the rim. Unless this was just one bad game for which it most definitely was a bad game, I don't think he's improved much at all on his game. It's not like he could develop his body anymore then what it already is. So if he hasn't made any progress on getting a midrange game or developing some better post up moves, then he's a very one dimensional player.

The Rockets have half a game lead on the team that beat us out for the 8th spot last year.

Mabury was unbelievable. I think he practiced circus shooting this summer. But minus him, Suns is average eastern team.

Rox could beat either one of these two teams tonight.

I am watching the Dallas-LA game. Dallas looks horrible. This team is nowhere close to what they had last season. They will improve as season goes on, but I don't see them doing better than last year. They are still soft, and now they are shorter.

Bottomline, other teams are not as strong as people feared. Be happy with the progress we've made this far.

i hope slinslin is happy for promoting zarko on this site a couple of times because zarko sucks. Once again like memphis fans promoting Posey ,and Seattle promoting Jerome James, and Suns promoting zarko. Does it ever end? Maybe at the end of the year when we finish ahead of all of them ,reporters, and fans will shut the hell up about their sucky role players. They fail to understand that having Ming is better than having 1000 role players.

Maybe Amare will sink so low that the Suns will trade him to the Rockets for Cuttino. I think Amare's overrated, but I still wouldn't mind him on the Rockets. Sophomore slump will serve as a
    "correction period" for his value.

I didn't see the whole game, but the bits I saw zarko looked pretty good.

One game doesn't make a season or team ...

sure it does, CK. If we don't win the opener, the season's over. If we do win, it's a good indicator we're headed toward 60+ wins this season and the Western Conference finals. We should also promptly trade whoever shoots poorly and give a wink-wink deal to whoever pulls down the eye-catching stat of the day (i.e. - 20+ points or 10+ rebounds, etc.)

it does.. never has in nba history that a team that lost its season opener had a good season or won a championship except for the '91 and '98 bulls.

Their role players are perfect. They will win it all this year.

When Parker comes back, the offense will be much smoother.

I've heard that 99% of statistics are fabricated.
