Didn't see this here yet, thought it was something people might want to see. http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/...threw-out-republican-voter-registrations.html (this is the intro, click link to view the article) Tuesday, October 06, 2009 ATLAS EXCLUSIVE: ACORN Threw Out Republican Voter Registrations An Atlas exclusive with a former ACORN employee. In February of 2008, Fathiyyah Muhammad of Jacksonville, Florida, heard that ACORN was paying three dollars for each vote you could register. Fatiyyah claims she registered voters for Acorn there (at three dollars each), but that the group threw out her votes and fired her when she brought them GOP registrations. This is another nail in the coffin of the community organizers and their stealth agenda.
Yeah, I typically quake in my boots when I see poor people getting together with no money but pushing forward with a uniting aim of overthrowing all that is good in America. Please, please, more well-healed lobbying groups and multi-national corporations and fewer of these insidious community organizations! (Including, particularly, the local YMCA and especially homeowners associations -- surely the most socialist and nazi and evil of all community organizations.)
So wait: a self-confessed Republican (incidentally not an employee of ACORN, but a volunteer) says she goes around cajoling people homeless people into registering to vote just for the money, makes sure to sign them up as Republicans regardless of their actual preference, and then says she submitted these bogus signatures to ACORN? And we're supposed to take her at her word? Where's her proof? This story is so full of holes, it might as well be made of Swiss cheese. And even if, by some miracle, she's telling the truth, there's this problem: she says she was going out with the intent of signing Republican voters, so how many homeless registrations to vote Democrat did SHE toss out? Or just ignore? There's a reason this story hasn't been reported on any reputable news site (atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com? Really?). Because it's not news. It's a load of carp. Really, Nero. You're reaching if this is the best you can come up with. Don't waste our time with carp. Bring something real and relevant, or just don't bother.
trying to figure out the need to trash the source here. it's been new media outlets like biggovernment and atlas shrugs that have broken the acorn story, and as both houses have moved to defund them, they've embezzled federal funds, and there's an absentee voter fraud scandal in new york state, why would anyone's first reflex be to trash the source and the OP. unless of course, they have an agenda of their own, and the truth doesn't figure into it.
As I said, that was the intro to the article, I did not add any editorial content of my own at all. I just figured since I had not seen it here yet, and it is popping up all over already, it would wind up here eventually, just wanted to give people a heads-up.
It sounds like she submitted a bunch of fraudulent registrations. I don't see why she shouldn't have been fired. Of course, my understanding from ACORN is that they flagged and submitted fraudulent registrations instead of throwing them out. Either way, big whup.
It is so typical of you guys to belittle the messenger. Well then explain to me why ACORN funding has been suspended and people are distancing from them left and right including your Beloved? You guys realized that it was the two young people with hidden cameras that brought ACORN to its knees!
It's so typical of you to belittle the message. Explain to me why you're now against ACORN rejecting fraudulent registrations and firing people that provide them? Do you support fraud if it's Republican?
