Pretty amazing stuff. Basically video that you can seamlessly drag and see different views without video ever stopping. http://www.yellowbirdsdonthavewingsbuttheyflytomakeyouexperiencea3dreality.com/showreel <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab" width="630" height="380" align="middle" id="yellowBird"><param name="movie" value="http://player.yb.nl/showcasev1/embed/YBPlayerLite.swf?c=showcase" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="normal"/><embed src="http://player.yb.nl/showcasev1/embed/YBPlayerLite.swf?c=showcase" quality="high" bgcolor="#000000" width="630" height="380" name="yellowBird" align="middle" play="true" loop="false" quality="high" wmode="normal" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed></object>
There was similar (if not exactly the same) technology used for CNN video in Haiti earlier this year. Pretty incredible stuff. I wonder what this would be like with the addition of 3D.
Didn't some dude have an application where he was demostrating this? I also seem to recall Google was doing REAL VIDEO 3D in Haiti after the earthquake. Also, the guy says "to get the FULL Panoramic view, there's a camera up here [pointing his hand up]"... which is a lie, 'cuz there isn't one of the ground.
