Will be a free Agent in 2009 What kind of the team Rockets will be after year 2006?
Yao signed to a max dollar and length deal. Boki signed to a multi year deal, at a reasonable price. Is our starting SF. Mobley will already have been traded. JJax and Pike will be resigned for one year as quality veteran bench players. Cato will have either been traded for a more prototypical PF, or will be performing at/near all star level. If the latter, he will be given a 3-4 year extension. All others, save Francis, will be allowed to leave.
If we win a championship by then the picture will look completely different.. Or if we are deep into the playoffs with those players... same If we are still about the same... then big shake ups! Although Les won't wait until 2006. I just hope we make the playoffs this year.
I hope by that time, Yao would already win a ring for himself and Rockets. Then New York Knicks will bid unprecedented big money and finally persuade Yao joining the Knicks with help from Chinese NT. JVG couldn't resist the offer from Knicks that he can come back to New York again, continue to coach Yao and compete in a much weaker eastern conference. Cato will be re-signed, so does Mo T, Cat, no more passing the damn ball to somebody dispute and peace will return in Clutchcity. What will I get by then? No more $159 League pass service fee and I can watch every Yao game free
Cato actually signed a 6 year extension that was added on to the contract he was currently under which still had a some years left on it.
Don't worry. By 2006, an asteroid will hit earth and kill all mankind and the apes will be the only surviving species, but because or radiation, they will evolve into highly intelligent and sentient beings and rule the earth.
