He doesnt belong in the all star game. Now that he has cooled down from that hot start - 3 point shooting is worse than Yao's - just shooting is horrible - defense is dismal - he cant defend an injured sura For some reason, JVG still gives him big minutes. I dont even know if i like the potential now, cause he is getting WORSE. Why the **** is he getting worse?
Rookie wall. Yao experienced he same thing. We've seen what Head can do at the 3 pt line when he's on. Give him 'till the end of the next season before passing judgement.
He's been in a long, long, long slump, a month-long slump. I think he could be a DWes type of player for us in the future, but not a starter or a potential starter. I would be cool with that given that he wasn't really expected to provide much. I would agree though that I would rather see JB out there more instead if we're trying to win more games, I think we could use his shooting and his energy boost.
Training for the future. He's one of the few guys that could possibly contribute for us in the coming years. Barry is on his last season. Mutombo was signed for 2, I believe. Anderson's on his way out. Wesley is an expiring contract, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was signed for another year, if a good trade doesn't present itself. Swift.....verdict pending.... Moochie...yeah, he'll be gone soon. Sura.... not much left in him, if anything. Head is going to be a player for us, or he's building his value for a trade.
I just wanna know why all the rookies we draft end up becoming nothing more than 3-point shooters? Luther Head Boki Nachbar Eddie Griffin This organization has to be one of the worst in terms of allowing a young player to develop and grow...
During the hot start to the season, I expected him to hit the wall sometime. This is no surprise. I expect him to come out of it before the season ends. Rookie walls don't last 40 games.
It's way too early to pass judgement on Luther. Obviously he has hit his rookie wall, and it's likely it will be next season before we can really begin to get a taste of how much he can contribute. I still think he could turn into a younger, more athletic version of David Wesley given enough time.
Wow...is that a comprehensive list of our draftees? (BTW, what other draftees are there other than 'rookie' ones? )
Luther has proven that he's got the skilz. He's struggling a bit...so yea maybe rook wall. Trying to assimilate too into his game in a short period, prob. I expect once you get through the wall you're a better team player on the other side.
Strange night tonight for the bbs. The Rockets have one of their better played home games of the year and it's boohoo this and boohoo that. The way the season is going there will be plenty nights in the future to be a whining crybaby so try to enjoy the other part of it that comes with a sastifying Rockets victory. Luther Head should not be in the all-star game and he's not, he's in the rookie all-star game which he should be in, and he's a houston rocket and the game is being held in houston which is another reason why he should be in there. it's a rookie game so I don't understand the gripe unless youre a fan of another team who thinks another rookie is being leftout of the rookie game and you think he deserves a spot over Luther. If so, name the player, and give the reason why you think that player should be in Head's place.
looks like a consensus has been reached. bplld, you will be stoned to death in town square tomorrow. that will be all.
I didn't think Head was all that bad. His shooting has been slumping, but he still plays tough D. The guy is a rookie, who wasn't supposed to play as much as he has this season. Tonight was one of the better games. I loved watching it, and it was a lot of fun. The first thing that came to my mind when watching the game, was which one our players stinks and has been overhyped. I was too busy enjoying the feeling of sweet victory.
give big bad luther some time. he's an athlete!!!! he may not be all that we hoped but he will be a solid player.
Luther has the kind of youth, quickness and versatility this team has been lacking in the backcourt. He's worth hanging onto, even if he just becomes a solid bench player.
