Nay. Fisher is old and injury prone. Rafer is younger, taller, quicker and a better passer. (Has that been said?)

Fisher can shoot better, defend just as well, has more experience in winning, isnt a whiner, a good lockerroom presence, and can play the half court much more effectively

Awful contract and the guy will get worse each year. He's on the down end of his career.

mmhmmm... says the team who has Juwan starting for them

Fisher btw has a contract the same length as Rafers and makes about a million more. I dont think its as bad as you make it out to be.

BTW, prove to me he's worse ever year

Does everyone just hate the whole roster because we sucked without TMAC and Yao lastyear? Rafer is a good player. He's not an all star, but he's at least as good as Jason Williams in Miami. Rafer is not the problem in the least. The problem was no TMAC and Yao, and an old Wesley at shooting guard. We lose Swift and gain Battier and Mike James and a healthy TMAC(hopefully) and healthy Yao. The team will be much better, Rafer will look better, people will be wondering what in the HELL they were thinking even making up a trade of a solid starter like Rafer for an aging veteran like Fischer. While we're at it lets give away Luther Head for Andre Barrett and give Battier up for Kevin Willis.

That doesnt bother me if im not mistaken Fisher makes 5.8M a year. Not bad for a guy who can start for your team.

I would say his experience and shooting is well worth that salary he has left.

Speedy Claxton has a similar deal not as good as DFish but has experience as well.

Fisher is not an old declining player thats why. He brings something to the table. Noone hates Rafer, but if they are truly in win now mode, why not get guys who have won, are disciplined, and can put the ball in the hole?

fisher's contract is on par with juwan's. he'll be getting something like 7m+ in his last year.
