my friend said he saw the new Yao commerical yesterday on CBS during NCAA, didn't catch it, anybody catch that? he said the commerical is funny and yao finished off the segment with a two handed dunk that took down the rim
Sure wish the guy would do that in a game!!! He knows he can dunk..... so he should....stop the pathetic fadeaways. Going strong it the only way to overcome his slump. Come on Yao.
Commercial stars Yao Ming, Derek Jeter, and Peyton Manning. God I miss the days when friends would come to the door and ask "Can drapg come out and play?" Why can't life be that simple again? The biggest problem was the sun going down in the middle of a game of street football or pick-up hoops on the rim above my garage.
Ahh yes, those were the days... I also remember walking over to the Stop N Go to get a 44 oz soda for 39 cents... And then playing Street Fighter II at said Stop N Go.
Boy, the way Glen Miller played. Songs that made the Hit Parade. Guys like us we had it made. Those were the days. And you knew who you were then. Girls were girls and men were men. Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again. Didn't need no welfare estates. Everybody pulled his weight. Gee, our old La Salle ran great. Those were the days. ...old fogies.
Man, you guys should watsh the tournament more. That commercial's been coming on constantly for the past couple days.
man, the first time seeing that commercial was great. the way the mom just says "hi yao" like it's no big thing. then yao just ripping down the backboard is classic. also, the way he says oops is great. that along with the guy coming out of the stands to block the mascot are epic commercials coming out of this tournament. now if we could get about 10 billion less student-athlete commercials and a few million less centrigo (or whatever the hell it is) commercials it would be good.
I have reliable insider source that works for Gatorade that aided in filming the commercial and I was told that there was an uncut version that had not been released. The script is below: -Yao posts up 20 feet from the basket against Earl Boykins. -Yao drives to the basket... -Pump fakes... -Fakes a pass... -Pump fakes... -Pump fakes again... -Fakes a pass... -Pump fakes again... -Fakes a pass... -Pump fakes... -Pump fakes again... -Pump fakes again... -Pump fakes again... -Pump fakes again... -Goes up for a left-handed, up and under layup... -Boykins blocks it... -Yao pump fakes again... (forgetting that he no longer has the ball). -Yao says, "Ooops." -Larry Smith comes out of from the sideline and benches Yao. -One of the ball boys offers Yao a cup of Gatorade. -Yao asks, "Can I write a check." -The ballboy says, "Ummmm... You don't have to pay for it." -Yao says, "Ooops", does a pump fake again, takes a sip of the drink, and says, "Gatorade... the thirst quencher."
