Since it seems that the T-mac trade is all but final it lead me to thinking.... Yao's number throughout his life was 13, but he could not wear that number when he came to Houston since it had already belonged to Kelvin Cato. Now with Cato more than likely being traded to Orlando as part of the T-mac deal will you think Yao will want to wear #13 again for Houston? I mean the rockets probably can make some more money being able to sell the new Yao 13 jerseys just a thought thats all
Nah, it was because Yao's girlfriend is #11 in the Chinese NT. Same reason Yao chose to wear a red band around his wrist.
Yao was quoted somewhere saying he liked 11 because of the upward movement something about having good zin or yin or someting to that affect.
