Preseason opener? An out of shape Yao and a horribly out of shape Shaq, both playing maybe fifteen minutes, only half of them against each other? Yeah, that's some excitement.

    :D

i'm afraid you are wrong edc. i don't know about shaq, yao will have just finished his olympic games and freshly recharged. in terms of shaq, starting a new season with a new team, i'd say he's ready to make a statement that he's still got it.

    can't wait.

i have to agree with edc.
i think shaq will not play alot in the pre season, i do not think he has the feeling he has got something to prove. but the season opener will be great:D

Yao should easily take shaq. Shaq shouldnt be in better condition, since Yaos played all year around. Shaqs probably on miami beach right now drinking coronas.

Yao will be in shape from the olympics. Shaq is angry, and he has something to prove. Shaq finally has motivation again. Look out NBA.

maybe not the pre-season but i do think shaq has a lot to prove. first, he needs to prove that it's him not kobe who gets the job done. secondly, he needs to show that he still is the mde. agree about the season opener :D

Yao should play about 3 minutes and then sit down. He won't play TOO MUCH in a preseason non-important game...

Yao did pretty well in the preseason games last year. I think he'll drop 40 on Shaq. :D

i agree that he has something to prove.
But i'm not to sure he feels that way. I think shaq is so arrogant that he thinks he is the best and that he doesn't need to play hard to dominate. Like he has done the last couple of years.

We will see if he thinks he has something to prove but he will never think that in a preseason game. (yo're talking about preseason :D ;) ) We will see in the season.
