    Translation as follows:
Next game is the Big Test.

I don't have to waste my breath on what kind of team Dallas is, everybody knows that. Our defence has improved a lot under Jeff. The next game will be like our ancient chinese story of Spear againt Shield (Offence against Defence). Which is the better option, Zone defence or 1 on 1? Just a discussion, afterall, it's Jeff's call. My overall feeling is that zone maybe better, 1 on 1 I would have to go outside. I'm here to have a look at everyone's reply, and I'll post again.

I kinda agree with Yao. 1 on 1, I think Rockets will be crucified...Dallas can score at will with the options they have. Zone might be able to slow them down a little. At least I hope so...

Man, I can't believe Yao's posting after games and encouraging a dialogue with his fans. Thanks a lot for the translation.

forebay: the first thing I did when joinging the Yaoming's Chinese BBS is to ask him to visit here, ClutchCity net. I said reading the posts here might really benefit him, plus ppl here are nice (most of the time) and funny (er...me not included).

That's the only post I made there I think. Thave been quite a lot of posters asked same thing I believe so he must have seen it.

My guess is that he might be secretly lurking somewhere in here. He might take some interesting post back to Colin and asking him to translate:)

    Do not worry about that.

i just sneaked into yaoming's forum and I guarantee you that yao will enjoy this place more than his own bbs.

i'd hate to have any of the players visit the site. everyone basically gets bashed and while there are some great insites they're not in the majority. for guys like me the site is fun though.

regarding the zone vs. man. if they play their 5 stars at the same time, yao will have to guard Nowitski on the perimeter and that might not be so good. i vote zone.

Since the Rockets aren't used to playing zone, that might be a bad idea. I'm not convinced they can rebound effectively while playing a zone.

Yao has been invited to ClutchCity & a few other BBSes. His reply (translated):

    ¶Ô²»Æð£¬ÕâÀïÊÇÎҵĹٷ½ÍøÕ¾£¬ÎÒÒªÀ´ÕâÀï¡£

Sorry, this is my official website, I have to come here.

Now I might sound reading between lines, but Yao's implying "he is obliged to stick to his own BBS", which is sponsored by Sohu.

I am not sure what deal it is, but there might be commercial reasons Yao does not venture onto other BBSes.

And FYI, Yao reads English much better than most people perceive.

Just saw another reply by Yao on his BBS. He said another way maybe is to try to freeze out Nash.

Later he did one more post saying:

After reading everybody's reply I want to say this: The key to the next game is the opening period. Both teams of the ballgame would want to control the game rhythm to the rhythm that they are used to. That is why sometimes we say that: today we are playing the game at the other team's pace. This is the game controlling point. Dallas' pace is faster than ours, they like to hit you on the counter attack including hit you in the transition, in summary, they hit you before you can stand steady (b4 u r ready?). We have to fight with them for the half court offence and defence. Using our intensity and flexibility in defence rotation to counter them. Try to maximise our offence success rate so as not let them to have counter attacking opportunities. The last point is the lifeline - rebounding, the boards.

I should be resting now, tomorrow off to Dallas, talk to everyone in a few days.

pheww..this was a hard one to translate, too many basketball terms..hope I didn't mess up too many points. Anybody with any corrections, welcome to add. Cheers.

Yao also said this in his thread:
    »¹ÓÐÒ»¸ö°ì·¨¾ÍÊÇÆ´Ãü¶³½áÄÉʲ£¬Ôì³ÉËûÃǽø¹¥µÄ²»Á÷³©£¬ÒԴνµµÍËûÃǵÄÃüÖÐÂÊ¡£

    Translation:
Another solution is to work our as* off to freeze Nash, to disrupt the flow of their offence, so as to lower their fieldgoal percentage.

You translators are so awesome for making these translations. This is insight that the average english-only speaking fan won't have access to, and you are bringing it to all of us. I just want you to know how much it is appreciated, because I absolutely love hearing Yao's thoughts right after games like this. Really helps you feel like you are getting to know the guy.
