He said he loves this town. As long as Rockets wants him, he would sign the new multi-year contract.

Not sure this is thread worthy. But anyway, countless other players say the same thing, then bolt for a new city. Money talks my friend. I think he'll stay as long as we continue to put quality players around him.

I wouldn't offer one until I know what else I had or see if he is getting better.

Yao is a loyal guy as long as the team wants him he will sure sign with the rockets. The only question will be, will he ask for the max or will he willing to take a pay cut!

Nice. Yao's a beast. Needa hold on to him.
In the meanwhile though, Ron needs to slap him around pre-game :D

Kinda hard seeing him play for another team. Rockets drafted, nurtured and developed him. He will retire a houston rockets.

To build a team around Yao, we need a star PG, a super star leader at wing, a PF who can rebound, block shoots and shoot 3 pointers and a coach that can motivate Yao. It is too damn difficult and Rockets have been failed to get a team for Yao for 5 years and more.

Trade Yao before 2010 and let the rebuilding start now.

You are definitely in the minority as far as trading Yao goes.

    Trade Yao ?
Can you find someone better than him and willing to stay at Rox?
    No way!
But I want him to go away from Rox,he longs for a Champion and Les is too mean .

But I think he will stay here until he retired.
