So i was reading around and just browsing and i came upon a thread that talked about Giricek for Bonzi. That thread has a link to Chicago Tribune

And "cav000" made the following response to trading bonzi:

Keep in mind, that his sig says this:

I have a different trade in mind. One that would make all Yao Only Fans happy. The Houston Rockets need a LEGIT center, not one that chokes in the clutch. The Houston Rockets need a center who can actually jump more than 4 inches into the air. The Houston Rockets need a center who has PASSION for the game. The Houston Rockets need a center who can play 40+ mins a game, not just 37. The Houston Rockets need a TRUE LEADER among boys, to take this city to a championship. The Houston Rockets need a center who doesnt cry about fouls on EVERY play.

Tracy Mcgrady deserves a center who wants to win. Tracy Mcgrady is the FRANCHISE play. Tracy Mcgrady is the FOUNDATION in Houston. Tracy Mcgrady never backs down when he is needed to step up. Tracy Mcgrady plays his heart out and has emotions for the game. Tracy Mcgrady is a MAN who is not afraid to shed tears of LOVE for the game. Tracy Mcgrady is the GOTO guy. Tracy Mcgrady is the HOUSTON ROCKETS.

This is Tracy Mcgrady's team, not Yao's. We will go as far as Tracy Mcgrady takes us in the playoffs. Tracy Mcgrady shows up in the clutch at the end of games. Tracy Mcgrady dives for rebounds and sacrifices his body. Tracy Mcgrady plays through upper respiratory infections, while boys sit out. Tracy Mcgrady brings his game night in and night out.

The ONLY solution for Houston to go deep into the playoffs and win a championship is to trade the player that has held this team back. We need a LEGIT Center. And just our luck, the best center in the history of the NBA is available.

We MUST Trade Yao Ming for Eddy Curry.

    (/insert sarcasm where necessary)

    Have a good day.

And if mods feel that they need to lock this i completely understand. But saying tmac needs to be traded instead of bonzi, shows utter disrespect for the game of basketball.

Man.. everyone is bored! All star break is boring to rockets die hard fans since Yao cannot show lot of star gazing shows on the all star game and Tmac was not on the game..

Now, People are bringing up so many trade ideas so they could have rockets discussion. But to make a major break up of the team will only decrease our chance of getting to the play off and even contend ;)

If we will have a trade, it could be a solid supporting cast at the pg position that could bring the ball with less turnover, handle pressure and can make a shot when needed. :)

I think the team is doing great as to the records, 8 straight wins on the road, make it 9 on tuesday night, :D and the previous 4 wins at home. The team just need to gel more and learn on their mistakes at the 4th quarter breakdown against the kings. Most of the players were on vacation but they know they should continue winning games. Yao knows this and he admitted that right after the all star game. I love the team now because they are very optimistic and confident of themselves and the team in general.

Yes, our schedule will be harder this coming weeks but the fact is Tracy is getting healthy and will be getting back to his productive mode and was showing signs of trusting his teammates more. Tracy cant do it alone and I know he's happy with the team and Yao around.

One shot at a time.. We still believe on this team..

uhhh you flat out said "Bonze's a good player...he knows how to play now in Houston with his teammates...he's a part of our team ... i'd rather to see tracy be exchanged .."

    Am I missing something?

You my good sir, know nothing about basketball.

Kobe and Lebron, are nothing like TMAC. Nothing at all.

Do you know why he is fragile? He puts 110% effort when he steps on the court, what does yao put in? 30%? He needs the other 70% to barely keep enough oxygen to travel from one end to the other.

Weak spirit? He plays through a upper respiratory infection and keep in mind he was in the hospital all day. Can you say the same for Yao? What did Yao do? Sit at home and play WOW. I bet the reason Yao missed the game because there was a WOW tournament he had to attend.

He stand out in the most dangerous games? LOL? He misses freethrows down the stretch when he is supposed to be 85%? He commits 7+ turnovers a game, simply because he ate too many butterfingers before the game. Shoot when needed? You mean turnover when needed? Pass when needed? You mean turnover when needed, once again?

He is dominating? When you average 7+ turnovers you better put up some points. He doesnt dominate. No where close. He doesnt even have 10% killer instinct that Tmac has. Think about how tmac was when he barely came into the league 5-6 years, he DOMINATED. Has a killer instinct and almost singlehandedly upset detroit in the playoffs. Can yao do that?

If Yao was as good as you say he is TD and DH shouldnt be able to put up even 10 points and have 5 rebounds. But Yao cant jump more than 4 inches in the air, and cant block no one. But on the other hand players like nate robinson can block yao? LEARN TO JUMP. Just because he is tall and is in their way thats not called defense, defense is when you intimidate TD or DH and block them. Which Yao cant do.

Tmac has bad defense? WOW. At least he can jump to play defense. At least players like CP3 cant get around him and win the game. Inefficient attacking ability? Have you seen tmac he last 3 games? He actually penetrates and kicks out to open shooters, he does the hard work so that others can have easy shots. Who cares is he gets 20+, its all about him making Shane/Novak/Rafer/Head better.

Only thing Yao is good at is playing WOW, eating butterfingers, and complaining about everything as a foul. Lets not forget his random "YOH" screams everytime he shoots or tries to rebound, he does that to beg for a foul.

    :D

at least im not completely oblivious to the notion that tmac is better than bonzi.

at least i know that any trade that involves tmac midway through the season sends the rockets into the lottery.

Seriously people need to understand that if this team only played around yao, opponents would triple him and make players like rafer and luther beat them all night long. :p

Do you know how the trades in the NBA work? You CANNOT get a top player for Tracy.

No team is going to give up their allstar/superstar for tmac. Best you will get is some almost-there-but-never-gonna-be-there star. And if you add in "time to develop chemistry/learn the system", then we are headed for the lottery.

You can say the bonzi traded sucks all you want, just dont throw tmac out there. Lately hes done everything hes supposed to do (play within the system, dont iso and have other stand around, pass) hes done everything he is supposed to do to make this team win, and you want to trade him? Man Oh Man.

he did get some changes recently..dont u feel still not enough for all the system...what we need mostly on striking is the type of former bibi like style(i dont mean tracy = bibi) in our system now..

I agree obviously noone gets the point of this thread

its like so many people on this board comes here to root for a player, as opposed to a single player. Cav000 even talks about who wouldn't want to put great players next to him blah blah. its all about Yao for him. I think you people should read the name at the top of the site. its called Clutchfans, not Yao fans or T-mac Fans or Bonzi fans or whatever. Before everyone starts posting all this biased stuff

just remember its a team game, and we are supporting the rockets
