He needs to spread his energy out a little more. Whenever he has a big game, most of his points will be from teh first half when everyone thinks he is out for 40 or 50.

Instead, the second half is wasted as Yao is unable to get good positioning for the gaurds to get him teh ball else Yao will get the ball and just start missing. He ends up only adding a couple of points to his total.

You can say that it is the gaurds fault for not passing Yao the ball, but it isnt all their fault. Yao just seems so much weaker and tired in the end of the game. Its been like this his whole career that he has failed to come up in the fourth quarter and second half for that matter.

Check out my sig. If Yao could contribute more in the second half, we would have higher scoring games. And if he was more of a leader in the second half, which we loose without Tmac, then that could help a lot too.

Yao was still shooting a high percentage in the second half. The guards were jacking up three pointers and howard kept getting blocked under the basket. They failed to look for him and failed to repost. Stamina did not seem to be a problem is this game.

Its hard to dog on someone when they are trying their best and the defense changes to bring him out of it but I understand Yao should of had 60

I amnt just talking this game. Its always been this way. Yao doesnt do anything in the second half.

If its the gaurds, you telling me after feedin Yao the ball in the first half and watching him explode, in the second half they just decide that he will not get the ball anymore. Period?

Even with Tmac, Yao still is quiet in the second half. I aint sayin this just because of today's game.

I'm not buying the stamina thing right now. I haven't seen him look winded over this latest stretch of games, although he was tonight.

The fact that he carried the team most of the game looked like it wore on him a bit tonight, but I think the drop in his numbers had more to due with the immediate triple teams he was getting. For some reason, the guards abandoned the repost plays that had worked so well in the past.

I was actually impressed when Yao started stepping out and shooting over defenders from 15' out.

Not true Alston keeps swinging the ball away from Yao and he sedom passes Yao the ball - NOT GOOD ENOUGH for a starting Playmaker Point Guard-4 assists
JVG is to blame because he lets Alston play his own adgenda, just like he let Francis do just what he wanted when he was supposed to be the Playmaker Point Guard.

the guy just went for 36 and 12. What'd you expect his numbers to be? 50 and 20? I guess the guy really can't satisfy people.

If you want to blame anybody for this game, Keith Bogans shot 2-12 and Juwon Howard shot 3-11. There's your game right there. Yao shot 12-17 (12-15 from the line).

If Yao can get 36 and 12 in 38 minutes, that should be enough to win a game if the "team" came to play tonight. I can't believe you would find flaws in Yao's game

    Yao: 12-17
    Rest of Team 16-47

I guess Yao needs to pick up and whirl a bullet train to prove that he has the strength and Stamina. It is just amazing that some people find something negative to say even after such a dominant performace.

Yao is always two step behind the fast bricking offense. JVG should have benched him.

Defense completely collapsed into the paint with him for much of the 4th quarter. Yao was also not getting the ball as much in the 3rd.

Than goodness there is someone else that sees what is going on. Possibly its JVG's instructions- if it is, it's the wrong way to play.

Give the Mavs some credit. They were more agressive on Yao in the 2nd half

I aint refering to this game, danm. And if u wanna talk bout the game, how many rebounds did Yao have, 2. I aint hatin, but Yao is too quiet in the second half.

You still cant respond so dont talk ****. Yall just look at the stats and say, oh wow, he had 36 and 12. He could have done all that in the first five minutes of the game and then done jack the rest of teh way and yall would still be on top of his balls. Same people who support JVG though, what u expect.

Would you rather have Yao put up bricks against impossible double teams like Kobe does?

our point is why would you make a thread like this and point at Yao's flaw after a game like this? Was it his fault that we lost? You point out that he has a problem with fatigue and stamina and yet he played 38 minutes and has been averaging in the high 30's low 40's since the all-star break (numbers that he hasn't averaged ever since he's been in the nba).

Yao will never average 43-45 minutes a game just because of the sheer physical pounding he takes game in/game out. Just imagine you being hacked, leaned on, jumped on all game. You would be f*cking tired as well.
