you can sit here and blame player one or two about the style of basketball we are playing, I think it is more effective to play Yao either as a starter with the second unit or as a bench player with the second unit. The second unit moves better and gets better shots with Yao on the floor and the starters with Player one and two can slow it down all they want with Scola and Battier. I think this is more achievable becasue Yao has a lesser ego than the other 2.
LOL! No way that's happening... its Yao's team dude.. and not starting Yao just to accommodate egos would be BLASPHEMY
Brilliant. Demote the best player on the team to the 2nd unit just to accomodate the 2 players that might struggle making an NBDL squad.
Come on guys! The "big three" are supposed to have some SYNERGY! THEORETICALLY, Yao's inside presence leaves space for TMAC to slash or shoot, and for Ron to shoot open three or post up mismatches created by Yao or Tmac's double team. It's not happening now, but it doesn't mean that it will never happen. If we are going to play them separately, that means the "big three" experiment has failed, and we need other pieces that can thrive by Yao's presence.
You know, as funny as this post is, Yao would actually do this, if it benefits the team. We all know what kind of a person and a player Yao is. I say we stop this Tracy and Ron merry go around right now. I don't care what you do: bench them, trade them, give them a couple of months to rehab, whatever it takes. I just want to watch us playing team ball again.
Brilliant, Yao should be traded to the Lakers, he should play great on triangle offense on that team, then we get Paul, and he can run with Artest, and Tmac. Wow.
Starters: Yao, Scola, Wafer, Rafer and Battier Bring TMac and Ron in from the bench alternatively. They should not be on the court at the same time.
No guys, I actually thinks this is a good idea. I would keep Yao as the starter, sub him out with like 3:50 in the first quarter, and then start him in the 2nd quarter along with Landry, Artest, Wafer and Brooks. Remember last year the Rockets started Yao/Hayes/Battier/McGrady/Rafer and then Yao/Scola/Bonzi/Head/Mike James started the second. We have started Yao the second quarters in the past and I think it'll still be a good idea to start him 1st and 2nds.
Move Artest to the bench, it will make T-Mac play better, I tell you. And start Yao. They both will work.
I'm not saying that Yao has to be benches I am saying that Yao should be married to the second squad even if they have to start. Asking Mcgrady to go to the bench leaves you with Mcgrady and Ron on the bench and again that does the exact same thing but with a lot of issues about TMac's future with the team and all the negativity that comes with it. I am thinki8ng play both the Adelman offense with one crew and the JVG with the other until something gives.
