Celtic fans and Cav fans are pissed at Zeke. Pierce/Walker no time in 2nd half, until 2nd Ot where pierce got some mins. But Big Z only 3 minutes!!!

More rest for Ming is better. Besides he's just a rookie and will have many more all-star games to go to. No big deal.

No harm done. Yao got a few minutes in his first AS game and defered to his elders as a good rookie should. He will have more chances in the future but I suspect that the AS game is not the best showcase for foreign talent as they seem reticent to play the "Hey look at me" style of playground ball that usually crops up in these games.

We should all be thankful to Adelman for letting Yao rest. And this is to say seriously, not in sarcastic mark.

Adelman is one of the coaches who really likes Yao. Just look at his comments on Yao. He is impressed with the guy. He knows that Yao's gonna take it to the next level when he is well rested.

And people, including Rudy, actually do have concern for Yao's participation at All Star game. If Rudy were the West coach, he would do exactly the same thing as Adelman did. Yao as a starting center and gets the experience and attention, but at the same time not having to work too hard. Remember, the ultimate goal is not All Star game.

To be fair Zydrunas is an injury waiting to happen, and Walker had that big brace on his knee.

ASG is really boring. Maybe next year they can just have the skills contest. I only watched the first 12 minutes and that was one quarter too many.

My thoughts as well. I was praying that they wouldn't put him back in. The coach knew that he had been tired recently. Hell, I was shocked that they let Steve play all of crunch time.

Yao is a rookie. He hasn't earned his minutes among the all-stars yet. He played more than Brad Miller and Big Z, though. Yao needs to learn to relax in these type of games. He looked really tight out there.

All the talk by Francis on how he was going to take care of Yao Ming. Yes he did for one great play. I see Francis only interested in his own image, I dont believe that Yao Ming should trust Steve. Yao Ming must get to be agressive and get his own, dont expect Francis to help make him the big time player we are all expecting!

I have exactly the same feeling. I've watched the NBA since '81, but skipped the last few years because everything's so old, routine and monotonous. Thought I could see something fresh today... F*ing waste of time. It's just some rich buddy-duddies trying to kiss each other's butt on TV.

Seriously, Yetti, you don't mean that, right.

This is the ASG for crying out loud. I am glad that Yao did not waste his energy on this meaningless game.

I agree that Yao would benefit with more rest. And I am thankful for that.

But Adelman likes Yao? Maybe not. I've read an article on Sacbee about how Adelman ripped the All-Star system and felt that Yao did't deserve to start over Shaq.
