In a recent interview Yao had with a famous Chinese media, he said he will not sign a contract extension until the rockets win a championship or get least have a championship caliber team for next season. The earliest time for him to talk about a contract extension would be after next season. So mr. Morely you need to do something if we keep Yao as a rocket.

Link? Or are we just supposed to believe that since you said "famous Chinese media" it must be true.

Oh yeah, Morey hasn't been trying to put together a championship caliber team this whole time. But after this news I guess he'll start trying.

I never thought this would be a news. I think everybody knows he is thinking about Championship.

If this story is true then Yao is a dope. We would have been in the Championship if he hadn't got injured, just like every year. He is in no position to make demands with his feet always being an issue.

    peace out, broke foot.

you'll be thirty and on the decline. I would question giving you a Max extension now. If you wait a year and have another injury, you'll essentially bail the rockets out of having to extend you.

I'm confused as to what Mr. Morely has been doing up until now? Now that Yao said he wants to win a championship here before he re-signs with us, we can actually start trying.
