I know this has been posted a long time ago here on Clutchfans but I couldn't find it...anyays, its a pretty nice video of Yao and his highlights over the years (he looks unstoppable after watching this)....I'm sure alot of clutchfans members have seen it but You Tube deleted the audio so I found it elsehwere on the web with the audio......Props to the guy who made it... Anyways, I re-posted it to get people PUMPED UP for the game tonight and for the playoffs.....for people who have not seen it....you might need to copy/paste the link.... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/564397/yao_ming_liftoff
the stuff that barkley said last night couldn't be more true. if yao hadn't had his run ins with the leg injuries, he would have been a scary force by now. you figure these are clips of yao 2-3 years ago. yao, right now is a lot smarter when it comes to double teams and he has developed an unstoppable hookshot. now, he's really robotic and limited to a few moves because of his leg injuries. we saw so many clips of the "shanghai shake" in that video, now you'd be lucky if you even saw a shanghai shake. all he does now is the turnaround jumper with no shake. yao's great now, but imagine yao without the injuries. there wouldn't be any dispute of who the best center is.
wow, Yao can lose some weight and probably do some insane dunks like Gasol. Fastest big men I ever seen. Just INSANE.
Yao is a great player. But I have to say this... Before the injuries, Yao was slow at times (usually when he was tired). But he moved really quick as a big man when he was energetic. I almost couldn't believe it was Yao who made some of the moves in the video. But now..Yao is always slow...because of the injuries. Disclaimer: Yao is still a great player even if he is slow like now.
I found this video on youtube it is old but its still great. The song fits the video and Yao very well. 2 bad the song isn't playing on youtube. This could have been great inspiration for the Rockets to look at once the playoffs started or rather yet listen to the song.
I love the behind the back dribble against Portland. I hope we get to see a few more of those tonight!
i wish we saw some of that from Yao last night ...we will bounce back Friday night.....my favorite was the behind the back...the bench going crazy....
