I believe Yao has to be vocal about the calls in order to get calls in his favor. I think because Yao is not known to be vocal the refs are more likely to call plays against him when it's Yao vs. someone such as Karl Malone. Yao does not have the respect of a star player in the league by the refs. Granted Malone is one of the league's best actors but the call yesterday was absurd especially since there was no call on Mobley's drive at the other end when he was hacked taking it to the hoop. I'm glad Yao spoke out about the officiating although I wish he made it a bigger point last night. He doesn't get calls like a star instead their calling fouls on him resulting him getting fouled out. It's absurd.
If the shoe was on the other foot and Cato was driving the lane & put it up over Shaq, I GUARANTEE it would have been a non-call.
