Ok sure, he had five turnovers, but half of those are because someone else passes it through his hands in bad positions.

Overall Yao was incredibly dominant, Defending the paint, finishing at the rim, and hitting shot after shot,I was just surprised that no one fell for the flops from Varejao today and played against the Cavs and against the whistle from Violet Palmer.

What a way to back up a subpar game in Cleveland (Albeit 3-10,10-10)

13-15 no matter how you do it is insane, because the Cavs are best defensive team in the league and Yao made them look like scrubs.

Props to Yao for carrying us tonight with the offense.

You took the words right out of my mouth. When I saw that she was ref'n this game, I was prepared for the refs to lay the shackles down on the Rockets. Over all the refs did a decent job today.

It's just one game...no need to create a thread dedicated to one game. MVPs play like this for entire seasons.

Yao did play like a MVP!

Ben Wallace guards him? No problem, he'll just shoot right over him.

He didn't turn the ball over a lot, and he made the shots he should make.

    Hopefully, he'll keep doing this!

Well they credited him with 5, but they were the offensive fouls and the passes into the hands of lebron leading to dunks....

I just love how yao BACKED UP his supposed statement of "See you in Houston"

I guess taking out the competition I mean LeBron helped in the MVP run lol. Yao was a BEAST probably thanks to that lost to the Cavs when they had the streak going.

We are lucky that cavs did not explore our weakness thoroughly down the stretch, they still play LBJ ball which right fell into our defensive game plan!

Yao can efficiently force switched shots every game, as long as we guard our perimerter well, we are in good shape every night defensively. While the drawback for p'n'r offense, I trust in our coaching team to figure out a better rotation to help Yao.

Solid D, key to playoffs :)

This game just showed how good Yao is if they refs are fair. You can say the same thing about the whole Houston team.

Any1 thinks the Cavs are contendenders, the Rockets should be considered too.

5? Wow, a lot more than I thought...

Do you know how much he turned the ball over in the 4th quarter?

My big thing with Yao is his semi disappearance in the 4th quarter. (Turning the ball over, missing easy shots)

as a revenge for lbj's block in last game , Yao dunked on him, blocked him, and then injured him. And as an added bonus, yao took out wallace too. Way to go MVP!!

Sad thing is the Block on Lebron doesn't look that good from a 7'6 guy but hey, he got his revenge.

Well eventhough he is 7'6... he still is a chinese guy that dunked on Lebron and blocked Lebron.

he made a lot of impact that didn't show up on the stats sheet. attracting the swarming D, kicking out, which leads to a swing pass and the guards knocking down open jumpers. a lot of yao-haters out there don't evaluate anything beyond the stats sheet. they see his 7'6" frame, his underwhelming 20ppg and 9rpg and think that he's a stiff. they fail to see that he makes the game so much easier for the rockets just by his presence and skill. 29 NBA teams are scared ****less of leaving only one defender on yao (except orlando, who consistently get burned for that choice).

Idiot Quote of the night.

Great teams don't look for luck they just win. The cavs were lucky we didn't destroy them even more.

No fronting D = Yao dominance.

I don't understand why coaches don't employ the fronting D, Varejao should've fronted.
