Worked out with coaches...pulling himslef out as a precaution. Nothing serious, but definitely out tonight.
make sense to me, we really shouldnt need to rely on yao to be able to beat the knicks. d'antoni will play super small ball and would force yao to matchup with harrington or tim thomas and front all day on defense with 2-3 players. let the big fella rest up just have him run through the workouts and have him be ready for the philly game on wednesday. it will be interesting to see how tracy and ron will play on the back to back i just hope the team remains disciplined enough not to engage in a run-n-gun style of the knicks
oh and i feel real bad for all those **** who bought tickets to see him play at MSG months ago...i am sure they are probably scrambling to try to sell the tickets or more likely will show up to the game and not know that he isnt playing and leave early?
Resting Yao is a good thing now. It's not like we are going to be fighting for the 8th seed this season. A healthy Yao, Tmac and Artest will do great things in the postseason.
Yeah,we can't afford to fall in their trap. If we play good defense NY will get frustrated which could help us win.
If Artest and McGrady play decent, the Knicks don't have a chance. If the Rockets just show up and think they will win by default, this game will be a problem without Yao.
Really got no right to complain if Rockets lose this one... I mean, 6'8''-6'9'' David Lee is NY's center. Not like the Rockets can cry about being undersized.
