they're saying his MRI detected a "small defect" in his elbow. Thats the term they used 'small defect'.
Do you guys know which elbow? Is it his shooting arm or the other? I wondor if it is a bone chip, if that's the case maybe surgery involved. That would really be bad news.
Here's to hoping it's not too serious. Hyperextension usually isn't season ending, but it's one hell of a painful experience.
anyone have a picture of the play that caused this? Did Rasho have Yao in an arm lock as Yao was looking to rebound or something? If so, let payback be a biznyatch for Rasho!
You can watch it on the nba highlights for the game. They were fighting a rebound, their arms(Yao's left and Rasho's right) tangled up and Yao lost his footing and fell.
Got this from that other forum. This quote is from the user yao1fan. "Bill Worrell, the Rockets play by play announcer, reported during tonight's game that Yao is listed as day to day but is expected to start in the season opener against Detroit. I notice Yao is not even on the bench tonight, so that means the team gave him the night off to stay home and get extra rest." Hope he's ready by the season opener.
