Again, I hardly see any play run through Yao at all. It's as if the offense is not meant for Yao at all. They just pass the ball around.

Also why the hell Yao seem to go back to his soft side again. One time McGrady pass to him for a wide open dunk and he chose to do a layup...that's freaking pathetic for a big man like Yao. I mean why the hell Steve Francis has to be there to remind him to dunk the ball again?? It's getting stupid and frustrating in watching Yao's development. Grow up and be a man goddamm it!!! You're so freaking talll and you play like a freakinng girl..that's pretty pathetic. I have nothing against Yao...infact i am Rockets fan just because of Yao and I am Chinese ....and I hate to see him play like that...grow ssome freaking ball. If he is injured then i don't blame him for doing that layup..but if not....he better watch his games from last year..it's like he has to learn everything all over again...pretty stupid to me..going back to being soft again.

Only three games and Yao's injured. Give him more time and we will see what progress he made during the offseason. So far, too early to tell.

well Yao could at least attempt to shoot the ball if the guards actually pass him the darn ball. The team right now seems so disorganized and doesn't even know where to pass Yao the ball. Last year's team was much more efficient at passing the ball to Yao. JVG should think of a plan soon or else he should be fired:mad:

All you Chinese fans need to go to the games and start swearing and cussing at Yao. I believe that will motivate him. I know thats tough to do. Chinese people are very nice and passive people. Swearing, cussing and acting aggressive is against Chinese or Oriental culture. That must be why Yao is a p***y. :D

Warriors have nothing to trade for Yao. Lakers have some decent players. I honestly think Odom and Mihm is a possibility after this season especially if Yao regresses in his all-important 3rd season. No athlete effs up in his 3rd season without having his career going into the dumps.

If Yao is going to succeed with the Rockets as the 2nd man to TMac, he's going to have to watch some tapes of Rasheed Wallace. Watch how Rasheed impacts the game with his all-around ability. He also needs to take some aggressive pills.

Ok, I have been a huge yao supporter for years now. But for the first time, I am going to join in with yao bashing.

He was pathetic tonight. Had his layup blocked by Gasol twice. Both of them should have been dunked. So far this season, he's been playing really really soft.

Having said that, I am hoping for the following:
-Because of his elbow, JVG is telling him not to dunk as much just to be safe. At least that's what I would tell him if I was the coach.

-Again, to protect his elbow, not as much plays are called for him. If I were the coach, that's what I would do.

-Some ridiculous fouls have been called on him early in each of the 3 games played so far. That will mess up your game. Although it's no excuse for not dunking.

-New team. We don't know how to get him the ball at the right time yet. The good thing is, especially in the first 2 games, I really see guys trying to get the ball to him.

If the four reasons/excuses above turn out to be bogus, I'll be jumping off of the Yao wagon real fast.

On a unrelated note, Tmac can pass! He get's everyone easy baskets! Yao's scoring should go up by at least 4 from last year just from Tmac assists(if he'll eventually dunk the ball.)

Tell you what, after the first and the second game, I have the same feelings as you guys. But after his terrible performance against this memphis team, I start think again. Yes, you guys are right, Yao need to develop some gut!!! I hate to see him blocked again and again. I hate to see him not being able to hold tight the ball...But wait a second. Have you counted how many times Yao was taking charges? How many times he tried to help defense and got dunked on? How many times he stepped out to screen? Now tell me, how many times have you seen Shaq or Dunken or Dirk or other big man doing these things? Now you got any idea? CAN SOME BODY TELL YAO STOP TAKING THOSE CHARGES!!! I mean, Yao is an above average defense player. Can you please stop pushing yao for better defense, JVG!!! I mean, if Yao spent too much on defense, he is out of gas to push arround on the front court. The biggest problem right now for Yao is, he can not catch!!! Feed the ball in practice and in the game, let him fight to catch. You got to develop him this ability. No matter what, if he's open or partially open, feed him!!! Live with turnovers, please!!! Give him some time, he will catch, won't he? We all know, if Yao has the ball, the game is changed. THAT IS WHY TEAMS ARE TRYING TO DENY HIM THE BALL!!! and sadly, if Yao can not catch the ball, his game is OVER. period.

Are you saying we should pass the ball to Yao even if he's on the bench in foul trouble? My guess is that the refs would call out-of-bounds on the Rockets if we started doing that on a consistent basis. Probably not a good idea in the long run...

What I fear about Yao is that the guy used Steve Francis as an emotional crutch. The guy cannot tap into any fire of his own. He had to depend on Steve to kick his ass on the court to get him to do anything with force.

TMac did not come here to cheer on Yao. He came here to be the 2nd fiddle because he thought Yao was a dominant go-to player. Yao may have shown flashes of that last season, but it's arguable the guy hasn't reached the mental state of a dominant go-to guy. The guy is Rik Smits with a little better stats. It's a ridiculous proposition to speak of him in the way folks talk of dominant players in NBA history. Dominant players don't act the way Yao does on the court.

Noone wants the situation to get to the point where Houston fans boo Yao. Noone wants that to happen. I can see that happening on Saturday against the Kings. It may be the lowest point in Yao's career as a Rocket.

Hahahaha. What did i tell you. Yao sucks. The problem is yao himself. I kinda compare him to kwame brown, or a eddie curry right now. They have the potential for greatness but they dont seem to care. Just look at melo and lebron. Last year, they were two of the youngest players in the league. But guess what, they outscored yao and amare big time. I dont want to hear thay they shoot the ball too much bs. Melo and lebron just have the confidence and it served them well. The two are on track to greatness. They are just studs right now and perennial all stars to be. And our yao, well he will again depend on the millions and millions of fan votes as if hes doing something good for the team. I suggest we dont vote him in the all star game to at least motivate this 7'6 stiff that being great is not a privilege given to you, you have to earn it. And the way yao played the last three games, its very evident that he has regressed. And it would be hard for him to imporve tremendously becoz of TMAC. Whether he likes it or not, TMAC must have the ball to be effective just like steve. The only difference is TMAC is taller, less error prone player but still will shoot the ball whenever he sees the need to. I say trade yao for AK 47 and Carlos Boozer. Then trade mo taylor and our other scrubs for a pg. Now we're talking.

Don't you guys see that he has stronger body and better conditioning? Believe in him and he will prove it for you several games later. Mark my word.

Well then that's the problem. No one wants to boo Yao. No one wants to say something mean to him. No one wants to hurt his feelings. Everyone around him treats Yao like a delicate animal. There is no one around to toughen Yao up. No wonder he is getting raped by 5'9" point guards.

I DO hope fans boo Yao at the Toyota Center when he deserves it. I hope the Chinese fans start swearing and cussing at him too.

It's time for Yao to stop being so damn nice. It's time for fans to stop being so damn nice to Yao!
