Number one...people relax...we are 1-1 this season. Other 1-1 teams this year are the T-Wolves, Spurs to name just a couple. I beleive the Spurs won the championship last year. I hate Houston fans...we have the worst. They are fair-weather fans. When things are good they love our teams and when things are bad...well our teams suck and we should fire everyone and start over and name ourselves GM, Head COach and be the players too. SHUT UP PEOPLE!!! Relax a little!! We have a whole new coaching staff and things are going to be fine. You saw how the Rockets played on night one of the season and if they can do it once they can do it again. The consistency will come.

As for everyone talking about YAO...I have a question for you all...aside from Shaq (who is just about done) what other center can put up a line of 19 pts, 10 r, and 3 blcks in a game? Name one? There are none so be happy with what we have. Another thing Yao may need to get more aggressive and it will come...It is kind of like teaching an old dog new tricks...Yao is doing a pretty deadgum good job of it...he is 23 and has been playing basketball in China his whole life! If you ask me he has adapted very well and the one thing we need is for him to get 20 plus touches a game. He had 11 shots last game and 19 pts....thats pretty nice number.

So just relax and dont be stupid and wanna fire everyone. Most teams when it comes to draft picks and what not...I would say that for every good player you get...4 or 5 bad ones come along. The Dallas Mavericks had a team last year in which none of their players were even drafted by them. So again relax and have fun watching a good young, athletic, high energy team evolve. Some changes may come and I think they will but dont get on here and get run your mouths on emotion.

Well, Yao do need make adjustments. As I said, Yao is too hesitant to be THE MAN like Neo in Matrix, what he need most now is to FREE HIS MIND!!!! BUT he need help, his teammate and coach have DUTY to help him to make it. To save Rockets and save themselves...

i totally agree! i can't stand it when these "fans" bash the rocket. if you're a true fan, you'll be behind them no matter what. yeah, so we're gonna have some off days, but who cares; no one is perfect.

Yao need to adjust his mentality. He should have the same mindset as he plays in Asia Champ, although his NBA opponents are much better and stronger than those Asian players. Till now, I haven't seen Yao performs with the same attitide as he showed in Asian Champ.

A lot of the bashing comes from people who get overly frustrated when the Rockets lose. The way they act you'd think they were actually on the team or something...

I personally try to avoid bashing any of our players for the following reasons:
    1. None of us can do any better. And don't use that "well they get payed millions to do it" excuse, because it's not their fault they're offered that much. Any of us would take more money than we deserve if the chance came up.

    2. I like ALL the Rockets. From the lowly Moochie to the beloved Yao. Sure Steve Francis is my favorite, but I'll admit he has flaws. But just cause a player has their flaws doesn't mean they're the "worst player in the world" as some of you like to overreact and say.

    3. IT'S JUST A GAME!! And we're just fans. 99.9% of us don't have any money invested in the team. We don't lose anything if the Rockets lose a game, yet some people here want to overreact and make personal comments about people they don't even know. Again, we're just fans of the team. Stop taking the game so seriously that it gets to a personal level, especially when it's a game we're not even playing!

However, fans' loyalty is sort of intangible assets for Rockets, and Rockets' winning is the same kind of "assets" for his fans;)

There is praise after a loss, not as much because people are content, and when its like that, theres nothing to say, you just sit back and apperciate it, but when the Rockets perform miserably, there is criticism and fans are distraught, and this place gives them a way to vent which is a nice thing and very apperciated by most so do not start a new thread telling people to shut up.

The fact is there is nothing fun about watching your team score 71 points at home. Its not like the season has been underway and the Rockets have been playing well. The season has just begun and there is alot of unexpectancy so when your team can only score 71 points against the Grizzlies - at home- well that causes a lot concern and it shows here, from the fans.

I understand how you feel about people who complain about losses, but those people usually only complain about games that we could have easily won. If we had lost to the new Lakers by the same amount that we lose to the Grizz, no one would complain. We would give ourselves a pat on the back for getting so close, but losing a game that we could have won with Yao getting better position vs. smaller players, Cat being less Cat, and everyone else keeping the ball out of the other team's hands; is completely understandable.

Yao played well, stat wise, but he played terrible considering how many missed opportunities he had at destroying the other team. That loss is all on Yao's shoulders, he should have demanded the ball, and pushed Wright and Swift to the floor.

true but some people totally bash the players/team. there are two ways to critique: productively and harshly. i haven't seen much of the productive kind compared to the "i hate so and so" "so and so needs to be traded" "so and so sucks" "the rockets suck"

yes, i get frustrated and yell and scream, but i don't sit there and go on for hours about how one needs to be traded and how they caused us the game. it's easier said than done.

and the "fair-weather fans".. NO COMMENT. blah to you guys! why do you guys even call yourselves fans?! we don't need yall! i don't want to hear "fans" going "OH we're so good! i love so and so! did you watch the game last night? OMG we were so good" when we start winning and going to the playoffs!

this is why Carrol hasnt been fired yet and why Rudy was given that extension back in 2000 I think. Because so many blind fans will love the suckiness no matter what and not call in 610 demanding change. Teams in cities that have fans that know the game of basketball and expect excellence then try to please the fans with hard work. Teams like the rockets in a city that is conservative laid back isnt going to "clean house" when things go bad because fans still will like the dribble mania. I think Rudy would still be coaching here if it wasnt for cancer. Unfortuntely it took a near death experience on Rudy for Les to have a good enough excuse for the Rudyites for him to can Rudy. Otherwise there would be no change ever.

Why change the dribble mania if most of the fans still love Moochie? Thats the main reason why Moochie was signed to that outragous contract is because of sheep being blind to love his gay afro. I noticed there is alot more Texans fans that call in 610 demanding changes ect.. such as pass more, put Davis in,and then the following week the Texans follow that advice. The rocket fans are content with dribble mania and love Cat since he took a pay cut and CAt can screw up as much as he wants with no recourse.
