I know this was mentioned a month or so ago, and just thought I would give a very small update in case anyone was interested. Here is the link to the webpage with some info on Yao and Monsters relationship. It has a link to the main website, but it is in Chinese, anybody who speaks Chinese a translation of some updates on whats happening would be appreciated. Wish they would come out with some Beats by Yao Rockets headphones, I would totally buy them to replace my Beats by Dre! Link: http://www.monstercable.com/yao/default.asp
The most overpriced pair of cans I've ever heard. Cables too. Pure aesthetic design with almost zero substance. Glad Yao get to market something though. I know I wouldn't spend my money on them but others will.
Well I got my beats for $100 so they were low risk if they didn't sound good, but I love the sound. They are the best headphones I've ever used. All Monster cables I've used for my guitar have sounded good, and have held up well too, so I don't know what you're talking about
Obviously if you say they sound good I can't hate on you, but go to any audiophile places and all of them will tell you that beats are terribly overpriced. Even at $100 you can get better sounding cans.
I will admit for rock they are average, but for bass heavy songs like hip-hop I love them. I am deaf in my right ear so all headphones sound off to me, but these are the best I've used. I haven't ever used Bose or any brand like that so I can't say for sure how they compare.
@the guy defending monster. please do a little bit of research. you can buy your average monster quality cables for 1/10th the price. also, I wouldn't ever consider purchasing "Beats by Dre", but i do have to commend their advertising team. They really opened up the "urban" market. Now ever ball on a budget I see has a pair of them plugged into his iphone.
Definitely overpriced. Might potentially make a difference to a die-hard audio-phile (like I USED to be), but certainly not necessary for the average Rockets fan
Y'all suckas hatin cause you can't afford Beats. Seriously though, they're 3 things I like about the Beats: stylish, good bass, and sturdiness of headphone/wires.
$100 isnt bad for Dre Beats. i've seen them for almost $400. i dont think theyre worth more than $60. you can get some Grados or Denons with better bass for a few hundred. but its all subjective.
hm... i use monster audio cables from my CD changer to my stereo receiver. it sound absolutely awesome. i am sure it's a little over priced for the brand name, but it was a good buy. however, i bought a bunch of monster instrument cables for my guitars thinking they would be good. but i get interference using these. Mogami instrument cables cost 3 times more, but i get no interference what so ever.
