Am I the only one that was disappointed that Yao only made 7/11 shots? Then I realized what I had done and I just had to laugh at myself. I think we're trully witnessing something special here. I haven't be dissapointed in a good performence since Hakeem used to dominate and I would be disappointed at nights where he didn't get 30 pt games. 18 pts, 8 reb, 3 blks in 30 min, a very solid performance wont you say? Man every major media outlet is jizzing over Drew Gooden, sure he brings 16, 6 a night but that's on a loosing team, and lesser inside presence aswell as shooting 35% for a good garabage man. Yao however shoots a good percentage, intimidates and is helping his team win. I think Yao is gonna be the ROY and who knows, an all start this year.... voted in by the coaches.

I didn't watch most of the game, but I agree that it's a solid performance, especially now that the cat's out of the bag - I'm guessing the Wizards were watching Ming a little more closely than the Mavs did last night. Now if the other players can just step it up...

He basically made Bradley and Haywood nonfactors in their respective games, forcing them to get into foul trouble.

I agree. Yao has only been in this country for a month and he missed training camp. He is going to be a monster. I haven't been this excited in a long time.

I could have done without that.

Yep and just 11 games into his career. The sky is the limit for the big guy.

The man is spoiling us. The best annual shooting percentage in history was 72.7% by Wilt in his last year. Second best was Wilt at 68.3% in his championship year with the 76ers. Third was Artis Gilmore with 67% in 1980-81.

Ming shot a mere 64% last night and we feel he could have done better ;)

His current pace is 43 of 61, which is 70.49%, on target to be the second highest in league history.

I think one of the reason why Yao Ming's FGP decreased this evening is because that he made more jumper shot than layup and dunk?
I am not sure coz I didn't watch the game, just guess.
If so, it is very good because it is the most effecitve way to loosen the zone.

I'd like to see Yao's shooting percentage go down some. He will be the key to this team making a deep run into the playoffs. He needs to get more involved in the offense, and take more shots. Of course, the more you take, the more you will miss - so down goes the shooting percentage.

At the moment, for the most part, Yao is only taking shots he knows he can hit - because he is afraid of missing.

In another month or so when his confidence is up - and he is not afriad to miss - WATCH OUT - YAO WILL DOMINATE!!

7-11 is pretty good. Very good in fact.

But fartigue made him miss 2 or 3 of the 4 shots he missed. Even MJ was very impressed.

Yao Ming is toooo good to be true...and it is the truth and maybe some.

Every night now I expect the Rockets to win or compete with every team including LA. Sweeeeet.
