This is an excerpt from an article I seen: Yao Ming in US'S time, every day the entire team gathers practices front the bodily strength to train completely is responsible by him. A season gets down, Yao Mingzhuang, the body weight rose from 130 kilograms to 145 kilograms, aggressive initially reveals under the basket, all is Farsund's merit. There's his weight right now according to reports. I know that a kilogram is equal to 2205 pounds, so that means Yao Ming currently weighs 219.73 pounds. So that means he has gained 24 pounds since he was drafted last year. The report is talking about him needing to lose weight. I don't know if he needs to lose weight, its seems about right to me. I hope thats added muscle and not fat. I would hate to see a slow and weak Yao Ming. If it's fat, Ming needs to stop eating at McDonald's. On that CNN special, it said McDonald's was his favorite food.
At 145kg's, Yao is a wapping 319,725 lbs!!! I promise not to harp on this, but you clearly didn't proof read. That and maybe it's getting a little late
give the guy a break... he meant 2.205lbs = 1kg and 319.73 lbs not 219.73 lbs. He just had a case of the stupids. and he was roughly 300 lbs so he has gained 20 or so. There was a post on this somewhere earlier. Hey TheBigMoe next time PM me before you post, I'll proof it.
Oh... Mr. eight posts is going to be doing the proof reading for us now? Thanks alot man... or should there be a space between a and lot....
Yes, I´m spanish and here the weight is on Kg. ANd 145 Kg are about 320 lbs. So he´s joking if Yao is on 145 kg!!! fatty! Gasol have this summer 6 kg more than last year and he's now so much stronger. So 15!!!... Well, that could be good... very very strong but no fatty. Arms like Aaron Williams +or-. maybe malone (if are 15Kg. of muscle, if not Bryant Reeves...)
My bad man. I meant 319, not 219. It was just a typo. I'm not used to calling basketball players 300 pounders thats all.
...grumble....stupid, lousy metric system.... why not use a real measuring system with lbs. like the rest of the world?... ... oh yeah, the rest of the world uses metric. It's just the Americans who don't... hmmm... well, the rest of the world should convert to lbs, dammit. Don't mess with us, or we'll cook up some excuse to declare war on you, too! -- droxford
I would rather Yao Ming to be lighter. Getting pushed around by Shaq and maybe a couple of other people in the league is still more palatable than the prospect of Yao limping around on a bum knee in a couple of years, just when Rockets are getting real good.
CHINA WEIGHTY PROBLEM FOR YAO MING CHINESE basketball star Yao Ming, 23, has been put on a vegetarian diet to fight a weight problem. His NBA Houston Rockets coach says the giant player is 7kg overweight, the Shanghai Morning Post reported. Yao told reporters he was in low spirits without his usual diet of steak and ice cream and he pined for the two to three pieces of meat that he used to eat at each meal. -- Jason Leow
see kids, generally the older you get, the bigger you get...no more steak and ice cream, although I love that diet too.
