I already do it while watching at home! Everyone that has watched a game with me wanted to know where I got it from, so I brought it up on my comp and they thought it was awesome.
I whistle and hum it at work to drive people around me crazy. Since they drive me crazy, it's only fair... ... the fact that they're Mavericks fans makes it all the better.
I'm singing and/or whistling it at work and everywhere else here in SA. People think I'm nuts but they'll see! Even my boys heard me whistling it the other day and they said,"Oh that's the song about that Yao Ming Rockets guy,right?" We'd love to have as much crowd chanting and singing as possible -- rituals are important, and we need them. The best rituals, of course, come from the fans ... we'll do our best to support whatever crazy fan stunts people want to try to get going. That's part of why we're trying out the drum/rhythm oriented band thing that's been talked about here. We felt that was the best set up to feed off of what fans are doing. We wanted something that could drive "call and response" instead of just being the entertainment in and of itself. Ideally ... get the chant going, and we can send the band up there to help fan the flames. Or to help instigate it. Really get it going, and we can also support with our fascia scoreboards (the little ones on the sides) as well. (And in the new building, with our shiny new center-hung, high tech scoreboard ...) AS I mentioned in this thread I have written a Franchise song and a Cuttino song. Perhaps with the popularity of the Yao Ming song I will go forward with the production but keep in mind my studio time is limited. I have a real job to do as well!
We need more fans like these: Too bad they have to sit so high because of the prices. It's always seems most of the fans in the lower bowl are more reserved.

I can only imagine his reaction to hearing this. We definitly have to start this chant at Rockets game. I'm a college student at Texas A&M and have bought season tickets. The two hour drive to every game will be worth it, so you know i'll be chanting this song. Hell, we do yells at our football game, this will be easy to do.
