Yeah, heard the same thing on 610.

Rudy was asked if Ming will play tomorrow night and Rudy said something like: sure, why not. he'd like to take advantage of every opportunity to get him(Ming) out there playing. He sounded pretty confident that Ming would play tomorrow.

Doesn't he have to 'officially' pass his physical before he can start playing in games? I read in teh Chronicle this morning that his physical wouldn't be officially complete until Friday.

    Does anyone know anything different?

    just PLEASE,

very please, Rudy, explain to Kevin Willis that he doesn't need to el-blow our Yao in a pre-season.

Without that signed agreement, I wouldn't release Yao any more that the CBA did.

It could be worse ...Yao could be playing against Rick Mahorn or Dennis Rodman in his first game

Maybe he'll start so he can go against the little mermaid. That way he's sure not to get hurt. Hell, he may even get a little more rested up out there.

    E. Griff. gave Duncan some things to think about in the last game. Yao's just gotta get a few minutes while he's in the game. It would be great to get in the MVPs head a little in the preseason.

I'm in Austin and I tried to buy tickets thru the Spurs ugly website, but the ticketmaster link shows tickets unavailable for this game. I'm going regardless, but any help would be appreciated.

-Yao Ming To Play Wednesday -

Oct. 22 - Yao Ming will dress and see a limited amount of playing time when the Rockets take on the Spurs in San Antonio on Wednesday. After participating in fullcourt drills and scrimmage at Tuesday's practice, and looking very sharp we might add, the Houston coaching staff deemed its newest big man ready for his first game action as a member of the Rockets. You can catch all of Wednesday's action locally on KNWS Channel 51 and SportsRadio 610.

declan,I just got mine at about 5:50 PM. I've been checking the last few days and the same group of tickets keep showing up as 'best available' in whatever price group. I doubt that message you got was accurate. Try this link:

Infinity Broadcasting owns KILT 610 AM in Houston and they have a strict policy about webcasting - they don't do it period.
